Great news. Of course don’t forget pics.
I still need to do a week 1 write up but for now just - very pleased and pleasently surprised how much over my 991.1 gts

Hi Nick981,

Can I ask whom your dealer is?

Just spoken to mine and they advised there is still no fix been advised yet and I was due to collect the car this Saturday

Thanks

Good afternoon, after observing this forum for the past 4 weeks I would first of all like to thank you all for the hours of entertainment but also very valuable insight and research. Maybe I should have visited you all sooner as undoubtedly I am a wiser / more informed buyer now...
I am however very pleased to have found only / mostly positive feedback on my new car I am eagerly awaiting: 991.2 GTS (expected delivery early May).
I will be using it as a DD (yes, as you can see I have already learned to adopt some forum lingo) so I am looking for advise to look after it whilst I do so.
Alloys being an obvious concern, I found a product called RIMBLADES, and was wondering if any of you have tried these. I am pretty convinced about their effectiveness however concerned about spoiling the look of the car. Any input greatly appreciated.

Picked my GTS up early this month and the tyres have rim protection built in to the tyres about 1/4" protruding in case of hitting kerbs etc.

I have took out tyre and alloy protection just in case.

Many thanks Shifty.
Great to get the feedback. Will check costs, I assume my dealer will be more than happy to up-sell me this...??
I also found some further videos and feedback on Rimblades and they don't seem to be suitable.
Hope you are enjoying yours, I cant wait for mine...my first Porsche!!

As said above... Rim protection is not needed with Porsche tyres.

Buy tyre and wheel insurance from Ala insurance much cheaper than Porsche and fantastic service

Also as the wheels are not diamond cut finish they should be easy to smart repair if minor damage.

I took out the GAP, wheel and tyre insurance with ALA they were cheaper than most others, ALA offers good cover on the tyres but if your alloy is not repairable you only get £100 from ALA to replace so you would need to find a few £100 more.

Hi,
New member, I’m from Stavanger Norway. Have been following this great forum for a long time and since there aren’t that many GTS around here in “noggiland” I thought it was about time to join. Took delivery of a fantastic 4 GTS last august, have done roughly 3000 miles now and can like the rest of you confirm that the sound just gets better and better every day. Did my running in up on the mountain roads before winter sat in, then when they started salting the roads I let it sit inside waiting for better times, though we had a few days over the winter season when it cleared up and the roads were dry, so had a few miles even in dec-mar.

Hi Rollep
Your car is beautiful but that scene is stunning.
Where is this and what road is that?

Now hang a minute. When I look at that photo, the road seems to have a bit missing at the bottom! Or is there a near vertical section of road obscured from view?

Smashing car Rollep. Enjoy.

Nice leather, interesting choice which looks great. Outside GT silver?
