991 GTS Must haves
Discussion
Here she is.... just got to change the plate over, but loved driving it back yesterday!!
So happy with the car & especially that I've managed to get it sooner than the potential new one...

Excellent choice, congratulations!
Still running mine in but last week I was at the PEC and whilst is was thoroughly good fun, you can see how accomplished the GTS is.
Only a few more sleeps to go...!

Thanks David, that's really helpful, but then again, not... I drove the GTS2 at the Porsche Experience last month & it was amazing, so I'm going to have to see if I can get a decent test in the 4

This just caught my eye as i love a green car. It's also well spec'd for interior details. Why sell? Can I ask what you paid list for it too? It's currently on for £110k.

Anyone else manage to ding their GTS front bumper spoiler (front bottom flexible black trim) yet?
Looks like it should be an easy part to replace - anyone done that yet? Or has anyone tried to fill and repair theirs?

Funny you should say that, as I managed to catch mine making a turning last week. The damage is minimal and to be honest, unless you're really looking for it, you'd never see it, but I know it's there and that's reason enough to replace it. A word of warning though, the Porsche parts system isn't up to date and suggests that you can only order a primed version ready for painting. The part number for the matt black version is wrong and appear to be for a 991.1. I took my existing one off on Saturday afternoon to check the number (it's only a 2 minute job) and it's 991.505.983.04.Looks like it should be an easy part to replace - anyone done that yet? Trust this helps.

Squeaks and rattles?
Not what's you'd expect to hear, thought they were famously hewn from solid feeling?
IMO the interior of the 991.2 is worse than the 991.1, very cheap feel to the switches and some of the interior trim. The trim where the seatbelt goes into the B pillar came off in my hand, very crappy piece of plastic and the trim itself is like pressed cardboard. What have you gone for instead?Kiernan said:

Thanks. I've been pointed at https://www.design911.co.uk/pages/productList.aspx... which looks like the primed part you're referring to?Trust this helps.

Genuinely amazed to hear that.woollyjoe said:
Dare I ask if you rejected the car?
Wonder if the amount of exclusive options affected things.
I did not reject the car, took it back and got some of the squeaks and rattles fixed after the first few weeks (dealership then trashed the paint by doing the worst wash job I have ever seen, took a week at a detailers to fix). Rattles all came back but by that point I had lost faith in the dealership and was bored of the 50 mile round trip and wasted time and petrol so just lived with it. Car was due to go in July/Aug anyway to make way for the Vantage but have now cancelled that so its going to be bangernomics for me for a while I think.Wonder if the amount of exclusive options affected things.
