Pictures please smile

Hi there don't have any decent images that show the colour as it is in real life - this is relatively close - Crayon changes massively in different lights. I know it's a marmite colour, but if specced with black accents & PCCB's , I think it's a brilliant colour - funnily enough, I've had more positive comments about the colour / overall look of this car than any of the others I've had , which is nice. Have to say it's a really pretty 911.

It's not actually my car it's my wife's - she hates manuals, I'm really anti PDK; but I have to say as times gone on, although I really hate to admit it, I have really grown fond of the car; it's a super easy everyday luxury cruiser and is a nice foil to a GT car - it's a great "lazy" car. I know this is heresy, but I even like the engine/power delivery (I honestly thought I'd never ever say that !!!) . Only downside is the lack of NA noise, the new engines are very efficient and the power delivery is actually very good (no lag and it feels more linear than I thought it would) but they do sound a bit st I'm afraid.

Very nice place to sit with lots of leather and alcantara and handles nicely with RSW and PCCB's - completely different to the GT3 though, which is on another level - but in fairness, they are completly different cars with complete different end uses - both very good at what they were built to do smile

That’s beautiful. And, everything you say about the GTS is true. I never wanted PDK but now I love it, and in the GTS it’s perfect.

Mint grey? That looks stunning. Have to say the ducktail on the .1 makes the car. Real shame not an option to spec on gen 2

Morning all,

Just about to order my first 911 GTS! Exciting times, but I require some assistance. I’m going for quite a bold spec, I like it, but there’s a little niggle saying is it just too much.

Your thoughts would be appreciated!

Hopefully will be ordering later on this afternoon although I can expect to see the car next March apparently.

Please any thoughts on the spec, good or bad, will be very much appreciated!

Nice spec, that is a long time to wait for a model that will be two years old by the time you get it and the 992 will be just around the corner.

I did think of that, but from what I was told by the dealer the new 992 GTS won’t be coming for a long while after initial release.

Problem is I absolutely love the drive, I don’t know if I could wait that long if I’m being perfectly honest. Little bit stuck on what to do hahaha.

I'm intrigued as to how you're getting a 2, many OPCs have told many people that post shut down only the 4 with PDK will be available.

I'll be honest I am not a fan of the yellow dials....I've got yellow belts and stitching in my GT3 but the dials are too much IMHO. I also would probably not bother with the Sport Design package...as per the Mint Green car above you got the duck tail with the 991.1 but on the 991.2 you get a tiny extra lip spolier.

In fact I'd definitely consider getting rid of the dials and the sport design package and getting the yellow deviated stitching...it's about £2k so a little bit more all in. Looks the dogs danglies though.

The wait will go very quickly!

Are you sure you can get a rwd GTS ? I heard OPC's were only getting 4 GTS's after the factory opens again.

Thanks for your input, that is exactly what I wasn’t sure about. I thought the yellow dials were a bit too much. I did consider the stitching as an alternative, just wanted a bit to blend in with the brake colour.

After reading that on here, I actually mentioned to my dealer about it, I said to her that I thought it was just the 4 being made after September. She assured me that whilst that was the case at first, it no longer is. They are ‘apparently’ going to run some more 2’s. She said she even has a build slot for me. But that’s why there is a longer wait.

I am however a little sceptical, whilst the dealership has been excellent and all the staff very pleasant, I’ve not really been instilled with confidence if that makes sense, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something seems off.

Many thanks for that, sets it off quite nicely.

Think I’ll bin the dials.

Great spec. I've got PDCC and PCCB on my gen 1 GTS and think that the 20mm drop with PDCC helps the wheels better fill the arches and the PCCB are epic. I was in two minds about it before I bought the car, however have done a couple of thousand miles in the car, I now understand why so many people say that once they've had them, they wouldn't go back to the standard steel brakes !

Buy a nearly new one and save £15K - £25K and then get a 992 when they come out.

Friends, I need your help.

First time poster, but, because of this thread I purchased a 991 GTS in crayon last week on a PCP deal. The car was new in March and had come from another dealership as the ex DP's car, I signed the paperwork, and was shown over to the car where the silk was lifted off. Fantastic. It was Christmas day.

I drove straight to work, and parked up outside on the road. Obviously it garnered some attention, however, it was pointed out to me that the drivers door was a complete different colour and had obviously been painted.

Drove straight back to the dealer, who has said that they'll sort it, However, I now don't want the car - there are no pictures of the damage before it had paint, which I find strange knowing how anal Porsche are about these things.

What would you do...? the car has been repaired to Porsche standard, but I'll never know what actually happened - any advice greatly appreciated.
