Gen2 997 Turbo Hardening?
Discussion
I'm thinking of getting a 997 Turbo partly on the basis that I shouldn't lose too much (if any) depreciation at the moment - only the buy/sell commission. Just wondering if the Gen2 cars have much more to come down or if they are hardening as eell as the Gen1 cars.
Any thoughts appreciated.

I think they are going to go up slowly, ive just bought one and I paid top money as the shape for me is classic 911 and the updates with the gen 2 were all for the new 991 but in a much bigger car that doesn't look quite right, I would have loved a S but couldn't stretch to that budget wise.

they are droping as the 991 Turbo s are dropping so why pay £90k for a gen 2 ?Any thoughts appreciated.
non S are now £60k if you wait, prices on the up I don't see myself !
price is all about miles and people will quote some low miles cars being expensive still , but you have to take into account if you pay overs for low miles it will cost you even more to use it !

Until the market plummets you mean?
What planet are you on? The market will not plummet, this is not 1990, we have this thing called the internet now mate, and global demand, what exactly are your reasons for thinking we will wake up one morning to lesser value in our cars.
Send some of that gear over that you are smoking my man..

My thoughts are that if you dither over one it'll be gone. I got mine from OPC Sheffield on xmas eve just gone. It was only the 2nd one they'd had all year and both sold before making the show room.Any thoughts appreciated.
I dithered over a mint 911 Gen2 Turbo S in Speed Yellow at OPC Leeds about 18 months ago and it was gone by the time I'd made up my bloody mind. Looking at prices now, I'd say that car is worth at least the same, maybe even a few grand more. They're incredible cars for the money. I'd buy one if I were you.

Speed yellow and a S and you had to think about it Lol.I sold mine - 997.1 Turbo last month and the dealer put it up for £1.5K MORE than I paid 4 years ago. It sold in less than a week. Granted he will have taken a hit on the asking price but I was shocked at how 'little' it had lost.
Mind you I had only done 5K in 4 years so that was the reason I sold it.#
It had under 18K on the clock, FPSH just had a major service (120 miles since) was like new.
