Potentially looking for a 996 Turbo
Discussion
[quote=Digga]FWIW, I like that; seal grey with totally black interior was my #1 choice when I was looking, but I settled for silver paintwork.
I have found that Silver cars are often overlooked, its not actually that flattering on the Turbo, whereas GT Silver
or Meridian Silver which has a Violet hue is very desirable, Silver cars tend to hang about longer. Polar Silver is
also great looking, with a Blue hue, though I would prefer Meridian or GT.

OP.
On the face of it this appears to be great value, the retailer could have asked more, if you factor in a bit of
negotiation then this would be a safe place to park your money. Details are sparse to say the least, which is
about the usual standard of effort from dealers (myself excluded), a quick call would fill in the blanks...

Funnily enough I already mailed them some questions earlier tonight as noticed it too and agree with your prognosis!
Will report back how I get on....

I'm sure it won't be an issue if you stay below 70mph however.

It's got the aerokit front lip but not the rear wing which is a no-no according to the Tequipment brochure.

Pretty sure those exhaust tips don't belong to a Ruf exhaust, look like standard X50 tips to me. A Ruf setup (AFAIK) has 2 separate welded on exhaust pipes at each side with no additional tips.I'm sure it won't be an issue if you stay below 70mph however.

The 996 turbo they have in the Porsche Museum is not the same as my Arctic Silver car and, IMHO looked very nice indeed. Note sure what the name of the colour is though:
To my eyes that's Meridian, it has that Violet hue, though it could be the bulbs in the lights, so could be GT Silver.Looks like an S with the yellow calipers??

Not necessarily an problem, but to consider. Mine's standard, so I can't really comment on what a lowered car is like to live with.
The more I look its lowered, so I would be scrutinizing that, I wish people would leave things like that alone,it will greatly affect the ride quality, that coupled with the splitter will make speed bumps a problem.
Also, the front splitter would need to go and a standard one fitted, about £150, unless it floats your boat.

100% definitely an S. Had PCCBs, hence yellow callipers.Looks like an S with the yellow calipers??
As for ride height, I had a little brush of my splitter on a friend's driveway the other weekend. The gradient, or change of looked Prett innocuous, and it was the very slightest graze, but it was fortunate I was going very slowly.

Its actually about right, though I get where you are coming from, anything starting with a 7 or 8 mileage wise andhttp://www.911virgin.com/porscheforsale/1080/996Tu...
the value drops off rapid. The color is a bit non descript, looks good when detailed but most of the time will be hard
work to look anything, IMO. Virgin are not greedy, they tend to get prices bang on and the cars don't hang about long,
if it had 60k on it then the asking would be 55k. Personally I don't really buy into the X50 package being worth a premium
for reasons that are well documented in previous threads, great looking car all the same.
