I used the same child seat in the back of my 997.1 GT3. I put a cushion underneath and one behind the seat to stop if rubbing the carpet and it also makes the seat more stable.

One of my kids has out grown the seat so now we just put the seat back behind him against a cushion, and a cushion under his backside. You wouldnt want to spend too long in the car but it works pretty well.

Recommend getting your GEO checked and set-up if it hasnt been done recently - makes a huge difference to how the car handles.

Also, if you like the sound, try disconnecting the cable to the exhaust valve actuator - this puts it in noisy mode the whole time. Its a bit boomy at some points in the rev range but gives a consistent sound throughout.

Enjoy.

Yeh I plan to get the geo set up in the next couple of weeks. :-)

One thing I am not sure about is the clutch, I'd expect it to be heavy but I get the feeling it might be heavier than normal plus the biting point seems to be just over half way. Not sure if anyone lives in the surbiton area with experience of worn/unworn GT3 clutches? Maybe give an idea or compare vs a different gt3.

Just dropped the beast off last night at a storage facility, miss waking up and walking past it on route to work! What a ride!!

A shame to see it go into storage - should leave it there over the Summer! I left mine on the road and commuted with it most days on good days, even with a straight pipe exhaust smile

Mine has recently gone to a new home, but if you want to give me a drive then i'd be happy to oblige wink

I do remember it being fairly heavy initially, but quickly got used to and found other cars horrible because - relatively - they had little feel for the biting point.

Maxi cosi rodi xp, i think. They have a narrow base and a good solid backrest. There's a towel underneath and behind to get a good fit.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a bunch of the visitor"s permits than pay for storage? I live just around the corner from you and have loads of spares but I think I am in the next parking zone.

Lovely car, by the way!
