Just sold at €483,000 including premium, not sure if that includes 21% TVA though?

Edited to say - So, it looks like you have to pay 21% tax, so that is €584,000 or £525,000 at today's X rate.

21% isn't on the whole price. only on the buyer's premium. Still a big chunk but not that big...

From the website....

Buyer's Premium Rates
15% of the Hammer Price

TVA at the current rate of 21% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges.

Oh I see, I misunderstood this meant it would be on the whole amount.

SALEROOM NOTICES
Please be advised that due to the age and limited number of kilometres recorded on the odometer, this Lot will incur a TVA (VAT) liability upon registration in the EU. The TVA (VAT) payable will be the rate prevailing in the country of registration applied to the total invoice amount, plus any applicable transport charges.

I think many such cars are registered by companies preserving vat claim back potential...

...and if it was coming somewhere like the UK for example, then I think there is import vat to be paid on cars with less than 6000km...

Anyhow, its an auction and you only need two determined buyers...

Its the hammer price 420k Eu Plus the 15%, Plus 21% Eu VAT, if the car remains to be reg in Eu. No SMFW either, strong price. Though ask in for RHD is 650k GBP

I think its shrewd buy actually...

Don't see it being used as DD at these prices, as such if its kept off road collection etc, then the TVA 21% point of sale will not need to be paid. Honestly struggle to think of a better return on capital invested, ie 420kEu plus the 15% over the next 3 -5 years. What price an Un reg del miles 991R in 3- years time?

Thankfully I don't keep company with people who would spend £600k on a car to keep as a collector's item and regard it as an investment vehicle (sorry!) - what is the point in keeping a car at delivery miles?

Ridiculous price. Yes undoubtedly a fantastic car, but with 991 units produced it's not going to be a rare car at all.

No,you've got it all wrong.
The thrill of owning one of the best DRIVERS cars is to sit and look at it and watch the £££££s increase......wobble

What happens when it's eventually sold again, is VAT still payable on registration? At the next sale price..?

All depends if the new, or any owner for that matter wishes to register the car for road use, if he's in the EU then the VAT will have to be paid at his local domestic rate.

Porsche owners must be laughing.
A Porsche 911 with a GT3 engine sells for about 650k to remain in the EU.

In 2 years it's not unimaginable to see 911R in RHD in the UK going for £1m.

Absolute bonkers and the collectors and traders who have pushed prices this high are going to be laughing all the way to their 3rd home.

Where as normal people like you and I haven't ever a hope in hell of getting one.

Or,in 2yrs, loads of people who bought cars at inflated prices have been completely blown out and lost lots of money as prices crash. Which is more likely..? Logically it's option 2...but logic hasn't got us this far!
