991 rear number plate/bumper

Hi All

Swapped my plates over yesterday and having taken the rear number plate off i found this....





Can any of you guys confirm its a UK version/normal as it looks very American ?? Ive never seen this before on a read bumper. Both the Boxster and 997 had flat surface.

Same on my 991.2 Targa 4S which makes it a bit harder to stick a p/plate on

Yep, rear one screwed on, front one,stuck on.
