Just an update.

My deal is done and the car will be delivered to me by covered truck on Friday.

I have paid £129250 for it and they are not charging extra for the delivery. It seems that for once not getting an allocation and paying full list price for it has worked in my favour. I intend to do around 6k per year in it over the next 2 years and fully expect to lose around 15k per year. All quite normal at this price point I would say.

When the car is delivered I will post photos and the full spec.
That's brilliant - would you mind confirming who the selling dealer was so those of us watching the market can figure out what you managed to knock off their advertised price? I have my eye on 2 similar spec cars at OPCs both currently at £24k overs. I reckon that's about £10k too much......

Cheers

Great result. Is that the one £5k behind list? November/December a great time to buy cars! I’ve heard that you can get very very good deals on new McLarens this month. Santa’s coming early for some....

Will be interesting to see whether this car is C16 spec from an official UK OPC.

Look forward to seeing the pics.

Indeed. It’s almost too cheap to be a high spec Uk car? Maybe we’ll find out soon enough.

Yes price is toooo low and quite simply i do not believe it. I know the guy says he will post pics, how about the invoice? Also let us know the OPC so we can all go get a deal! Apologies, but many people on here post nonsense.

It could be a GT3 touring which has had one careful owner and has been parked in the side of a truck!!

A 991.2 GT3 with very few miles is selling at around 12K-16K over list at the moment.

Who ever claims that they are going for 5-10k below list is talking 5 hit!

However give it until Jan/Feb and prices may be back to list for the trade as a whole. No doubt some people have to get out asap so will take whatever is offered by dealers.

OPC's are trying to hold fast atm, but i can see some people who have already spent a small fortune on cars to get a allocation cutting their losses and moving on!

I see no benefit on someone coming on here and lying, he’s even offered to post a picture? Good luck on him if he’s bought at what he thinks is a fair price. Like anything an advertised price and an actual selling price is two different things. If the car was on a 90 day stocking loan and the OPC wanted to move it on rather than pay the stocking loan off it’s quite possible. Im sure many OPC are very nervous of the gt stock they are currently holding. In certain times ahead

I agree that there are bargains to be had. Ive had a couple recently from OPC's including a GTS 991.2 a 5 figure reduced rate.
After the 90 day hold in stock they either reduce it dramatically or shift it to another OPC in the group.

I'm all for some good value GT cars and I hope people are really getting some bargains. The over list situation has been a burden to too many enthusiasts for too long although I'll be the first to admit that I've benefited from the over list situation.

I'm afraid i can't answer your first question. Far far greater minds than mine have tried to work out what makes people tick and failed!!!
You should start a different thread on that lol. Why are others desperately trying to say cars are worth more?

A picture of a car means nothing. Give the name of the dealer so i can get down there next week and get one for £125k.

Yes, you are correct, the price advertised and sale price are two different things. However why would somebody sell a car at £10k under list, when they could have taken it to JZM and got over list for it? When the guy posts the spec, give them a call and see what they would offer for it.

Ultimately most OPC's are owned by PLC's and i can't see many DP's getting overly worried. Some might have egg on their faces buying stock at what are now are silly prices, but i'm sure they made plenty over the last few years!

I was given a trade offer from an OPC for mine at £14K over list and this was after confirmation from the DP, and this was only 10days ago..

I for one can’t wait for the 992.1 GT3. It’ll be much faster. It’ll cost £20k more but all the controls will be touch screen and it will be even easier to drive as a daily. And they’ll make so many more.

It will kill off the current car, best sell now.......

wink

Well I can’t find a bargain! Where are the low miles non peasant-spec cars at less that 20k overs?

I think £20k overs is exactly where it’s at, for a decent spec. That’s roughly what I paid for GT Silver, full buckets, Bose, camera, front lift, carbon & leather interior. A good but not OTT spec.

Talk of cars at list or below from OPC’s just doesn’t sound right when the cheapest online is £25k over...! It doesn’t make sense, and if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is....

The car is absolutely brilliant by the way.

What are you looking for? I’m happy to sell at much less than £20k overs. Family needs and a camper van is looming.....

For months we have been saying and more importantly proving on here they don't exist other than in the pipe dreams of a few certain wannabe posters attempting in vain to talk down prices.

Moreover the £20k+ etc premiums for the right cars are here to stay for the foreseeable future as happened with the gen 1 GT3 and GT4(proportionately).

As we approach next Spring and the peak buying season, prices will rise as the flipped cars are sold, enthusiasts reenter the market and the existing relatively low stock of the right spec cars is reduced further.

As ever, the best time to buy a 911 and in this case GT3 is between now and Christmas.

Eh. Where are you looking??

What do you call low miles? I wouldn't pay a daft premium for a 500 mile car over a 5000 mile car personally.. but each to their own.

Mayfair have a big spec 4000 mile car - you couldn't want anything else on it! List approx £134k. Asking £149K. I think you could be cheeky and offer £140-145k.

If serious you need to get on the phone with credit card in hand and start a conversation.

The mileage thing is a load of bks - I get sick of hearing it. I put it down to a forum thing.

If I was in the market today I'd jump all over that Mayfair car. Agree on waiting though - I think last few weeks of the year will bring about a few more reductions. My prediction - Mayfair car will be next to be sold.

I’d agree with that and it’s nowhere near £20k over list. Problem is the startship mileage at 4K and it’s got painted headlight cleaning system covers and aluminium look filler cap, so totally the wrong spec to command top money. That’s why it’s so cheap.
