I'm sorry if there has already been a thread on this, I did look but may have missed it.
Has anyone fitted a dash cam to their 991.2 and if so I'd be interested to know the type and whether you would recommend the one you have.
Also, I'd be interested to know peoples experience with how this may affect the warranty.
Thanks

Nick Murray (US 911 owner) has, just yesterday, posted a video talking about the dashcam he's had installed in his new 911. It might be worth a watch... https://youtu.be/yS4m-u5p7lk
Love the Blackvue dashcam.
I have the single channel forward facing camera in my 997.2, I had it fitted by Audiofile in Bishops Stortford who were very professional and recommended fitting it with the Powermagic add-on which works seamlessly. I only had the one channel camera because I have a cab and fitting a rear facing is not easy.
I particularly like the way the camera connects to my iphone over the system's own wifi and dowloading clips is easy. I hope this helps.
Loved the system so much i had two more installed on my other vehicles.

The official view I had from my OPC was that it would cause warranty issues and that they would not fit one for me. However, I did get one fitted as I thought that having it on my Macan outweighed the potential issues with the OPC. Especially as the camera is wired in using piggy back fuses, there is no "break" into the loom or other systems and it has a feature that shuts it off and doesn't drain the battery. How Porsche can maintain their stance in relation to fitting dash cams in this day and age is beyond me........

Thanks! That's just the think I was looking for. Interesting that in the US they aren't so concerned as we are about invalidating the warranty! andyglos said:
