The first image I've seen of my complete spec, I'm gonna say it of course, but I think it looks fab! (thanks rl).

Agree, that does look stunning.

Any news on further allOcations?
Have to say ..no offence Shmee but seeing shmee get one after getting a gt4 and never having bought a porsche before ,is a bit of a pisser for those who have been buying Porsches for 20 years plus ,and supposedly this sort of thing was not supposed to happen .
This has already been discussed, Shmee's allocation is from Germany.

so you can get uk spec rhd from germany or is he going lhd ?
I think he might be moving there to live so it would be LHD
I'm sure this is going to come up a few more times but I explained it back a few pages.

As I'm getting a place in Germany starting next month, I just walked into a few dealerships on the continent to make enquiries. The first being Zuffenhausen where I got a very abrupt no! After a few tries I found a dealer with open slots and placed an order that's now due in November. My car will be LHD as it will live in Germany, but it also means I have chosen a PTS colour. I've gone very non-PH and ordered PDK though.

Interestingly, a Euro spec car in Euros is about €30k more than the like-for-like UK GBP spec. I considered the pros and cons of just buying one "second hand" with a premium but again getting LHD just makes more sense.

Long story short though, if you want one, just go call some German dealerships and you might find one for this year.

Those photos posted by Fokker above imo shows that the new GT3 like the GT4 is not colour sensitive and looks equally good in all colours. However i don't feel the Lava and Crayon makes the GT3 worth £2.5k more than the equally suitable Guards and Racing yellow.Having said that i must admit i really like the Miami on it based on the photos above which suits the GT3 more than the other so called special colours.

Yep looks like the GT3 carries it off really well . Probably would have gone for this based on this pic , which does appear to be a true representation .

The reality of Miaimi is nothing like that photo. I'm not saying it's not nice but I would try and see it in the metal first - I too like the colour in that photo, but I don't like Miami...

I am a big fan of blues myself but Miami does not do it for me as it has a strong greenish tint. The picture looks more like Mexico which I'd have in a heartbeat

This (imo) is a better representation of Miami. It's a great colour, but it's certainly more turquoise than it is blue in the previous photos.

Thanks for posting those pics Fokker...the ones you posted of the various different colour cars together don't do any favours for Crayon. Looks a bit drab in comparison to my eyes...and I really like the PTS cars you see in the lighter greys.

Based on those photos Guards or Racing yellow both eminently suit the new GT3 with standard white and GTS also suitable albeit less shouty..No need to spend big bucks as the FOC colours do the job so well...

Must depend on light levels because that looks way more turquoise than any cars I've seen in Miami in the flesh.

Either way it's nice to see people fortunate enough to be able to afford a GT3 and with allocation to be considering louder colours for their cars, I don't understand ordering such a special car in Silver!

If I was brave enough Cheib I'd go yellow as I think with black satin wheels it looks stunning. John (Taffy) your car will look superb.

I'm still on white but may change to GT silver last minute. I'm also thinking that black sat wheels is better with the white than the platinum.
I agree on Miami, the satin aluminium or black will go much better than platinum. A strong contrast is really important on these cars I think and really makes them stand out. Black wheels also add a bit more of a modern touch too even if they are a bit marmite.

I am now within 24 hours of lock down on my spec, and the one thing which is keeping me awake and has done for the last couple of months is the door and dash trim option. I am certain of everything on spec with the exception of this relatively minor area.

The car is full leather with LWB seats, no CS package, GT Silver and silver seat belts. Initially my "final" spec went with the brush alu, but then on reflection I thought that looked really cheap around the central console but the doors and dash look ok. I thought about Carbon, which I am guessing is the default choice of most, but thought it brought too many textures into the cabin (leather, "chrome" door handles, alcantara etc) so after a few weeks thinking about it I changed the spec to having the door and dash trim strips done in leather.

That was about 6 weeks ago, and for the last 6 weeks I have been thinking will this make the cabin too dark..probably quite classy and traditional but still quite dark and loses the definition that the door and dash strips bring.

Went back again and looked at Carbon, but I just don't like the small weave (my F80 M3 has a nicer weave), and brushed just looks cheap on the central console in my opinion. So then I looked at painted GT Silver. Can't make my mind up between painted GT silver or sticking with leather. Need to finalise today....anyone wish to throw in their view to help with my agony over this issue?

With GT SIlver I'd go painted....I think the painted interior is too much with Red/Orange/Blue/Yellow but think GT Silver would look great!

I'm going carbon but I agree with Cheib on the GT silver and you'l have quite a unique spec i would imagine too.
It looks quite like brushed on the configurator but I reckon in the flesh it'll be stunning.

I agree that on GT Silver the painted Silver will look stunning, but on Yellow, Red, Blue etc. it's too much.

I like the carbon, but agree that there may be too many different combinations in the interior with leather, alcantara, metal etc.

The 911 has a pretty conservative interior so its down to the buyer to pimp it up a bit.
Its quite easy to end up with a black plastic hell on a 110k car.
