yes me too, unfortunately I am discovering that it seems everyone who didn't get in the first allocation has been promised one in the next allocation and my maths (how many been promised and how many cars dealers likely to get )convinces me this wont happen.
I was told by my OPC on Friday I'm still in with a chance for an allocation next year and that allocations will be made "later in the year" which isn't very informative but I'll take what I can get, anything other than a firm no is hopefull.I prefer the leather to the carbon trim which looks a bit cheap imo and coincidently there's also a piece in this months EVO about how naff interior carbon has become.......
When I first sat in the 991.2 GT3 I was struck by how 'black' the interior looked - classy and purposeful to my eye and that's why it's my recommendation, (don't forget alcantara visors).
Not sure about painted GTS interior but it seems popular here and anyway, I'm not renowned for my fashion sense.

I am now within 24 hours of lock down on my spec, and the one thing which is keeping me awake and has done for the last couple of months is the door and dash trim option. I am certain of everything on spec with the exception of this relatively minor area.
The car is full leather with LWB seats, no CS package, GT Silver and silver seat belts. Initially my "final" spec went with the brush alu, but then on reflection I thought that looked really cheap around the central console but the doors and dash look ok. I thought about Carbon, which I am guessing is the default choice of most, but thought it brought too many textures into the cabin (leather, "chrome" door handles, alcantara etc) so after a few weeks thinking about it I changed the spec to having the door and dash trim strips done in leather.
That was about 6 weeks ago, and for the last 6 weeks I have been thinking will this make the cabin too dark..probably quite classy and traditional but still quite dark and loses the definition that the door and dash strips bring.
Went back again and looked at Carbon, but I just don't like the small weave (my F80 M3 has a nicer weave), and brushed just looks cheap on the central console in my opinion. So then I looked at painted GT Silver. Can't make my mind up between painted GT silver or sticking with leather. Need to finalise today....anyone wish to throw in their view to help with my agony over this issue?

To be fair, my friendly OPC guy took me through this spec. He specced my 987 Spyder to perfection, and my 991.2 GTS, so I'm going with him on this one as well. May go Red Belts as well....
Am i alone in preferring the standard Bi-xenoms as in your spec compared to the more obvious black LEDs which draw too much visual focus to the headlights inho..plus you save a huge wad and weight on top. Thanks to everyone who offered opinion on what I should go with on Interior Package. In the end I just kept my option of leather, although the GT Silver painted option was very close and I almost hit send on the email to my OPC changing the order at the last minute.
In the end I got so caught up with issues in work that I ran out of time to change anything and give it proper consideration, so as off close of business yesterday my spec is locked. Now there is nothing for it but more waiting, and of course some 2nd guessing around did I do the perfect spec for me.
The photo above of the GT Silver with satin black wheels doesn't help, I don't tend to like dark wheels so have gone for satin alu but on the photo above the black looks really smart. I am sure I will have more moments like this before mine arrives in October, could be a long summer !

I tend to enjoy specing my own cars as it's very rare I get to buy new, So I do like to buy what I want not what my sales guy wants.Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
