My lock down date has been brought forward to the end of this week and i submitted my final spec today on the excellent OPC Cardiff stand at the Royal Welsh show today. My existing colour choice had been Racing yellow for a while and luckily today while sitting in the trade stand with my sales guy there was an assortment of new Porsches in full view in bright sunlight namely Racing yellow,Crayon,Sapphire and Carmine and the colour which stood out and attracted the most public attention was yellow and on that basis i locked on yellow fully realising being a brave choice..
The colour which surprised me the most was Crayon and the first time i'd seen it in the metal and think it would look fantastic on the GT3 with black accents and wheels however i didn't like it £2.5k more than the yellow..The more i think about it the GT3 will look great in all colours and just down to personal choice at the end of the day..

If I saw a new GT3 I'd be less fussed about the colour and more interested in the car itself.
The only thing I can't abide though is these aftermarket stickers. To my eyes the rear wing always looks a bit awkward, but to stick PORSCHE on it, turns it into a distractingly ugly carbuncle.
Adds a bit of fun on the GT range imo, as always each to their own but I love the look on mine and it peals off when you get board of it.The only thing I can't abide though is these aftermarket stickers. I ran it for a year with no stickers than added them this summer and get great comments, the wing sticker is more liked by men and less by females, but every one likes the side stripes and over all look.
I would say if you don't like a wing don't buy a GT car in the 1st place, because how can a wing look awkward on a GT car !
That's also the issue with GT silver, it's a bit unexciting imo, classic but boring choice.
I'll be adding the side stripe to my GT3, it looks a bit dull without it, I might go Red this time as colours are lacking.

Great news and nice to see Taffys having the same brave but impeccable taste..IIRC it was myself which started the recent debate on the merits of Lava on the GT3 which inexplicably led to a rather heated debate on the provenance of global salmon supplies. As the innocent instigator can i make a friendly request to all parties involved to let it lie to avoid this whole thread falling into despair...
My C8 date of completion is October 5 and expected delivery towards the end of the month.I'm off to Silverstone tomorrow for a two day hooning at the PEC and will debate my spec with the instructors and picking up my new business use Panamera 4-e hybrid on the way home this saturday. I'm amazed how much the new Panny will reduce my tax liability next january and for that reason alone the only Panny i considered despite buying using my head rather my heart..

Bloody hell Andrew - this is where the issue is - you're obviously colour blind - that's gold - phew for a moment I thought I'd bought a car in a st colour - turns out you can't tell one colour from another - thank god - I was about to sell it !
Good news is if you get your GT2 in GTSM with the WS pack then you have all your options covered Gold and Silver - you'll be non the wiser and have a 50/50 chance of calling the bits on the car corrrectly
I think it is the reflection of all that pinkness making the gold appear silver with a reflection in it Good news is if you get your GT2 in GTSM with the WS pack then you have all your options covered Gold and Silver - you'll be non the wiser and have a 50/50 chance of calling the bits on the car corrrectly
We've been told to stop - looks like it's the end of Salmon gate

Just stumbled across this https://youtu.be/RJZGvC8K3_E
Ignore the immature "presenter" squealing like a girl, constant mispronouncing of "Porsche" and the explaination that spec delete of nav is due to it being an early production car, it shows some of how the car handles and has a few images of GT Silver compared to Yellow.
It's no Chris Harris review of the car on track but might be worth a view.
