991.2 GT3 - Colours. Spec. Q+A. etc etc..
Discussion
I've been told that 2018 cars come six months after 'allocation' and the 'allocation' is in September. That would be March onwards for about 3 months.

Anyone got any thoughts on when the 2018 UK allocation will start to be delivered - I know it's tempting but please try not to respond with just "2018"

I've been told I will get my build slot at the end of September or beginning of October when my OPC is given their 2018 allocation build dates. This is for cars built in January - April 2018 Phooey said:
Personally I still don't believe they are a "must" on an RS.
Although one of the early UV cars with steels but otherwise good spec apparantly sold for £190k ish (bought by someone on here?) when the equivalent ceramic cars were £220k ish?Edited by Phooey on Friday 28th July 11:59
Maybe it was this one :
Had a meltdown on my colour choice last night as lockdown was today. At the last minute I changed the colour from Sapphire blue to Agate Grey. This was after going around and around in circles on all colours for hours. I have had the blue on the .1 and thought it would be nice to have a change. The usual doubts are now creeping in.
Has anyone one else gone for agate?

Agate looks great and very purposeful on the GT3, really suits the car, think you will be chuffed when it turns up. Lots of people agonising over colour on here including myself when I made the huge mistake of asking my wife tonight and she was not keen on Miami blue being my first choice!!

Taken from Autocar review of MT GT3.2 in April 2017
"
The two gearboxes share the same first, second, third and fourth gear ratios."
Interesting from Autocar above, But at odds with what the respected US mag Road and Track had to say about the gearing on the first 2. Below "
The two gearboxes share the same first, second, third and fourth gear ratios."
"
The manual does have tall gearing in its first two ratios (second is good for 81 mph), but the GT3 spends so little time in those gears that it's less of a criticism and more of "
If the MT in the GT3 can pull over 80 as apposed to just over 60 in second, then yes I can see how this would work.

This pic nearly made me go Agate . I think it looks really classy . But exactly asI have done for the the last 7 or 8 new porsches / GT cars I've bought , I bottled it and went white . Has anyone one else gone for agate?
So many people stating their colour choices, but not heard of anyone going for Graphite Blue Metallic or Rhodium Silver Metallic.
Personally neither are a colour I would choose, but if there was only 1 or 2 of each in the UK then would these become a desirable colour to own in the future and possibly have an increased value as I have seen previously in some other limited edition cars with 'odd' colour choices.
