You'd be surprised what sells via an OPC. The most random colour and spec combinations find their way out of the showrooms time and time again. There are people with taste and there are people with interesting taste.
With regards to the new GT3, you could paint it in primer with Miami blue stitching and it'd sell...
They are already selling them in primer. They have given primer a fancy name called Chalk or Fashion grey all thats needed is for Porsche to change the configurator to allow Miami Blue stitching... BingoWith regards to the new GT3, you could paint it in primer with Miami blue stitching and it'd sell...
A few years back you struggled to sell a grey car how taste has changed.
It doesn't matter really what other people think of this or that colour...beauty is always in the eye of the beholder!
At the Oulton round of Carrera Cup there was a Miami Cayman and White fully loaded 911 Turbo on display. I was having a couple of brews and watched the crowds reactions to the cars as the passed. It was very surprising that the little Cayman got ALL the attention/photos from 90% of every man, woman & child! I felt really really sorry for the twice the price iconic 911 turbo, crazy world

Miami is one of the most popular colours so far
I think a lot of buyers could have ordered without seeing it in the flesh in dull light conditions hence your remark of most popular. However, I don't know how often you spend £140k on a car but trust me, I'll bet not one person ordered a GT3 in any colour without seeing it first (in various conditions) during the 3 months from allocation to freeze point, especially a known Marmite colour like Miami.
I might be wrong, anyone actually order Miami without seeing it?

We were there and saw the Cayman in MB, we were both totally convinced that it was going to be the colour for our GT3.At the Oulton round of Carrera Cup there was a Miami Cayman and White fully loaded 911 Turbo on display. This is our GT3 at present at Topaz who have nearly finished paint correction, detail and then full coverage of PPF. They did a superb job of our Lava Orange GT3RS and even after 6,000 miles the car required no remedial paint for it to be sold as a Porsche Approved used car.

Sad how a brand new £140k car needs paint correction after collection!? robgt3 said:

Thanks in advance.

Not sad at all and quite normal. Any areas displaying sanding marks will be removed to ensure perfect reflection and shine. Once the PPF has been fitted it is too late. Topaz pride themselves on doing a perfect job. Suggest you watch the video on U.Tube of Topaz doing exactly the same on a Bugatti Chiron that costs £2,500,000.: https://youtu.be/Cn2MFYgfznk?t=12s
How much do Topaz charge for PPF and or Paint Correction ? Edited by robgt3 on Monday 25th September 22:08
