That's very useful thanks for posting....although what I'd really like to see is Chalk vs Sport Classic or Grigio Campovolo. I am going to the PEC next month (sadly not to drive a GT3!) so will try and get into their Porsche Exclusive section to look at the paint samples. We've got a PTS Boxster on order for Mrs Cheib so I have a valid excuse smile
Personally I'm disliking Crayon - looks too light/beige to me. Fashion is a tried and tested colour which looks good.. again IMO. I need to see Crayon in the flesh.

Here's a vid of a Pan in Crayon.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzIXQs7RUiQ
I am very unsure about Crayon too...though I really like Sport Classic Grey and Grigio Campovolo which is why I'd like to see the comparison.

Although by the time I have to (hopefully) lock an order down there will have been cars delivered so might even have had a chance to see a couple of GT3's in the metal.
I've been around this whole Crayon vs. PTS Greys thing myself for my incoming GTS cabriolet and I've reached the same conclusion that Crayon is a bit of a "nothing" beige which might be consistent with a general trend for off-white cars (e.g. Minis) but really isn't for a Porsche GT car. Fashion Grey and Sports Classic have the history, but yesterday evening I went to see the Sports Classic Grey GT3RS (allegedly belonging to Richard Hammond) parked up at Romans International in Banstead, Surrey. IMHO it is one of those colours which contrasts well with the black bits on a GT car, and looks great at first glance, but after a few minutes looks a bit bland. Perhaps its just because my wife chose that colour for our kitchen units?! But it is parked side by side with a Lava Orange GT3RS and I know which one I would have chosen. There's a Sports Classic Grey 911 Special edition currently residing (as of 2 weeks ago) in the Exclusive area at the PEC, but the colour wall has no additional colours versus those in the OPC, and certainly not crayon or any PTS Greys unfortunately. Search on Porsche PTS Chalk and there's plenty of pictures of Panamera in Crayon.
I've had a look at some of the threads on CXX options and thinking that might well be the way to go if my 991.2 GT3 does happen next year. I am realistic enough to know that I am extraordinarily lucky to be getting a crack at it and that chance might not happen again for a very looong time and really want to do "something special". I'd love PTS but chances of that are minimal in the extreme so CXX seems the next best expensive as it is!

Mmmmm, thinking about it - not sure that earlier pic I posted of Fashion vs Crayon is correct (FG looks too dark?). Someone on RL posted a pic of his Fashion Spyder with a Crayon sample..

For those that have build slots it'd be interesting to create a list to see what colours and spec you have gone for. I'll start..

Phooey - PDK / JBM (Jet Black Met) / Silver rims / PCCB / LWB (lightweight buckets) / CS (Clubsport) / Standard interior (non-leather)

White, manual, folding buckets, PCCB - and wing delete/touring pack if this ever becomes available

Will a reversing camera be required? just wondered how much visibility there will be looking through the spoiler?

I would probably spec one as rearward visibility is poor and its a cheap option by Porsche standards..Also quite discrete above the rear plate imo..

There's very little rear visibility in the 991.1 GT3, so I'd definitely spec the camera.

1. What experience do you have with rear visibility on the 991.1 GT3?
2. What is your issue with the option existing / being selected? Does it somehow diminish the driving experience? Does the extra weight unbalance the car?

Despite your passive aggressive questioning, I will respond. My question was very simple. Do you really need a camera to park a small sports car?

I agree with you in that you don't absolutely need a camera to reverse a GT3..A reverse gear takes care of that..! However if you look at it as a very cheap one off insurance policy to protect the backend of a very valuable high end sportscar with very poor rear visibility its worth it imo..The main benefit is to pick up invisible in the rear view mirrors obstacles such as posts or parking bollards for example..
It has no negatives and is discretely hidden from view and weighs as much as a packet of crisps..People think nothing of paying £1600 for a front lift to raise the front end a measly 30mm to protect a cheap consumable such as the front plastic lip but baulk at paying £464 for a camera which potentially can save thousands in rear damage...No brainer imho
