Interestingly most are speccing the older folding buckets and not the newer 918style!
Interesting as I'd have thought the 918's were the go to bucket seat preference.Cheib said:
Also nobody has specced the launch colour Guards Red, GT Silver looking like it's the favourite. GT Silver is where I was leaning but my current 911 is Silver and I've never had a red car and as an 80's child a Guard's Red Porsche is quite iconic.
If i get a guaranteed slot Guards red would still be in with a shout as is plain white,I'm still undecided on transmission and speccing clubsport or not.If i decide to go manual i would spec folding buckets and no clubsport for a road touring spec like the 911R.However i'm just as likely go for a track spec version with PDK,fixed buckets and clubsport ..My absolute definite choices are PCCBs,front lift, rear camera and the leather dash..breadvan said:

For me they offer more practicality and appear more robust. Both as comfortable as each other in my view.Taffy66 said:

The fixed buckets are fine for me as long as I add a little piece of 1 inch foam to the lumbar area behind the backrest centre cushion. It's kept in place with velcro so is easily removable and makes the world of difference to lower back lumbar comfort. Try it and thank me after!

If I was offered a slot (which now seems highly unlikely), I'd definitely stick with the folding buckets, but would spec Clubsport and ask for my OPC to remove the cage - I think this gives more options down the line.I'm still undecided on transmission, but I'd definitely have PCCBs, front lift, rear camera and leather dash.

Yes red looks ok and should be reasonably rare but imo the GT3 is a touch large for Guards and with the 'essential' red stitching and red calipers its all a bit, err, red.Unfortunately and as expected it looks like there will be lots of GT silver cars.....the new white! White should be quite rare then and could be the new Voodoo!
Going 'manuel', steels, clubsport, white with red stitching, carbon, leather, smooth leather, chav stripe delete, Spyder buckets, alloy pedals, chrono, titanium wheels, lift, rain sensor anti dazzle etc. Likely March 18 car hopefully.

Are there two versions of Miami Blue?
I have seen a picture of a car mentioned as Miami Blue flat (non metallic)?? Is this different to the Miami Blue they are offering on the GT3 which seems metallic or certainly very bright!
No, just one. Non metallic. The green element comes and goes depending on each photo.I have seen a picture of a car mentioned as Miami Blue flat (non metallic)?? Is this different to the Miami Blue they are offering on the GT3 which seems metallic or certainly very bright!
I searched on AT and found 6 Miami blue porsches for sale and each one looked a different colour!
