Has anyone gone for LO or is it a colour too closely associated with the GT3RS?

I saw a Lava 991GT3 RS in my OPC today and it looks awesome in that colour however i suspect the GT3 probably won't look as good and i don't know why.

Just saw a thread on Rennlist where someone (fk knows how) has got the VIN and build spec of all the US cars. You can see the breakdown at the top of the thread. Crayon (Chalk) is the most popular colour...surprised Graphite Blue doesn't have more takers. Lava Orange is the ginger step child along with Rhodium Silver.

Very interesting that - thanks for sharing.

I’d argue that white is the winner at 22 % if both variants are added together.

Roughly 60% PDK

Roughly 1/2 PCCB’s

Lots of lift and 918 buckets.

All good stuff smile

40% manual is much higher than initial expectations....not far off 50/50. Think Porsche were ready to call it a deadend if take up was in the teens...

Btw what was the white saloon near the end, it was certainly giving nothing away!
Modified M3?
The M3 Ring Taxi, which is standard apart from pads and not even a comp pack car.

Very disappointed to see I've just been offered a car from someone that's trying to flip it quickly. frown

Anyone else notice the GT3 passenger (driver's daughter?) crossing herself as they crested Schwedenkreuz? hehe

The F80 M3 is a very quick car on track as standard. I drive one as my daily driver, and clearly it moves around on track more than the GT3 would, but as a car that I commute to work in which is very comfortable and full of luxury it totally transforms into a car that can keep up with most things, and quicker than a lot, around Goodwood in totally stock spec. A very impressive car, and nice compliment to the GT3 in the garage.

Swap the drivers over and I suspect the outcome would be significantly different.......

I agree, I have an F80 M3 and have used it as my daily since July 2014. I am reading this thread as I really want a 991 GT3.2 as I think they would make the perfect 2 car garage for me! If only Porsche would sell me one....

A neighbour of mine has a 4 door M3 in white and when dirty it looks fantastic. I'd happily have one as a daily...

A good picture comparison to show the difference between the 3 wheels.

I’m definitely going standard Aluminium if I get my car
