Also does anyone know where I can get a Sharkewerks bipass exhaust in the UK or do you have to have it shipped directly from the US. Or are there any other alternatives here for a more raw sound?
We supply the 991.2 GT3 Sharkwerks bypass pipes here in the UK and have immediate stock. PM me your details and I will email you the details.

Cheers, Chris
Just got the call from WilliamsCrawford, Passion for Porsche, and they have just completed fitting mine, they say its immense and they are sure I will love it, so off to pick her up now, cant wait, may even have to go towards Plymouth for no other reason than to go for a tunnel test session smile
You won't be disappointed Alan!

Look forward to hearing your thoughts once you've driven it.

Chris
EPIC!!! EPIC!!!

OMG the tunnel test is awesome cant wait to get to the alps again in June and September with the circuit days guys on their road tours... I guess Chris, the 4LT engine will sound very similar with it on? Pleased to say as well with it switched off I cant really say there is any difference really, which I think is great, too be honest though it will be the first switch on after firing her up every time I suspect....

Can you confirm the situation on the warranty, my guys said it will almost certainly cause an issue, and we would have to refit the old one if it needed to go in for service etc....Have you any experiences of any issues?

I knew it could be, but to be honest the guys at WilliamsCrawford said it was a complete doddle to fit anyway, just one clamp had to be cut as it wouldn't un-do, but they said the Sharkwerks fitted brilliantly, took them hour and a half, and they were filming it for their social media stuff.

The new tips look awesome as well fills the back cut out perfectly, looks like it has much more authority. smilesmilesmile

Has anyone seen an agate gen2 GT3 in the flesh?
Yes, there was one on the PCGB stand at the Autosports show earlier this month. It was agate with red brakes, wheel rims, stitching etc.

I was very interested to see it as I've gone for agate myself, albeit with yellow stitching etc to go with ceramics. Interestingly enough I did consider black but I've had a C2S and a GT3 before in black hence the agate this time. Delivery is due mid-April so I'll find out then if it was a good choice smile

So you like it then Alan.........!

Yes it sounds very similar in the 4.0 and others say it also eliminate a resonance that some cars seem to suffer from with the OE system. The benefit of the switched valves is that even with the Sharkwerks bypass fitted the car sounds very similar to OE with the valves closed, but once the valves are open it allows the full fat GT3 soundtrack to be enjoyed at a much wider RPM range.

Installation is a doddle and once its been fitted if you ever need to put back to standard its even quicker, Sharkwerks have recently made some changes to the pipe and the fitment which was superb is now even better! Glad you approve of the 100mm tips - they fill the cut-out like it should have been from the factory.

Warranty wise is very OPC specific - some take the sensible common sense approach and won't question it under most circumstances. If you had a serious engine or gearbox issue they might suggest the bypass pipe is removed during the claim process and I have known of at least 2 dealers to do this on 991.1 GT3 when replacement engines have been fitted under warranty. Other dealers employ jobs-worths who have no idea of the modification and attempt to claim the whole warranty will be invalid - nonsense and not legally enforceable as the only part that can be voided from the warranty is the part modified and associated components so if a shock absorber were to fail it is 100% unrelated. Like you said, in these cases and with dealers like this its very easy to switch back beforehand to avoid their misplaced attitude!

Go and enjoy the noise!

Trip to Bovey Castle tomorrow, for afternoon tea with my 101 year old gran, she wont be in the car either, so should be epic over Dartmoor, scare a few sheep I imagine!

This is a must have extra, far better, and far cheaper than any deviated stitching or fancy lighting.... Porsche need to add this to their options list IMHO clapclap

I think the Porsche name for it is Brewster Green. Looks very similar to Irish Green and a few others.

I hope not because I've just bought black harnesses for my car as the red wouldn't work at all. They are sodding expensive!

That looks lovely.

Unlike the black cars earlier in the thread though, I'm not sure the red 'speedline' on the wheels really suits the colour. Scratch that and it's near perfect.

My current Porsche is Agate and it's never looked that colour - amazing how artificial light and photographic renditions can change colours.

Hi Alan,

my first drive today since having sharkwerks fitted last week and is great. Had a couple of drives recently over Dartmoor and sheep were bit of a pain, but should be good day for it tomorrow. Might see if I get the time for a drive out that way as well in case you se a Miami Blue GT3 on your travels!

Did you buy from Exeter?

It's taken 3 years, but I can now say I am a proud of owner of a 991.2 GT3. Although I still can't believe it.

I know for alot of us on here, this is just another car, a part of a larger collection, but for me, and I don't care how sad this may sound, is a real achievement.

I've been having a very st time the past few months, and I know "we" are privileged compared to most to have the opportunity to get these vehicles, it doesn't make us immune to some of the st people have to deal with.

Sorry to have a deep and meaningful moment on PH, I promise we can all get back to willy waggling now - but I assume I'm not the only one on here who's car means more to them than just 4 wheels.

Congratulations on your achievement and sorry to hear you've had a difficult time recently. It is a fantastic car and I promise you that you're not the only one here that values their achievement and good fortune enormously.

Not a day goes by without me thinking about, reading about and planning my drives this coming year.

Safe to say I think, we are all enthusiasts on here so you're in good company.
