Thanks buddy.

Are you a folding bucket man, R?
I’ve got folding heated buckets in my 981 Spyder and had 918 buckets in my RS. (& incoming GT3 - which I believe is now finished and awaiting transport to the U.K. woohoo )

I have to say, I lose the will to live reading all the intricate views on both seats - they’re both great seats - really comfy and supportive : I liked them as much as each other - comes down to what you need :

Heated / easy access - folding it is (I had them in the Spyder as heated seats in a soft top is the law.)

Don’t care about this and want the sexiest looking place for your arse - 918’s

That green one is horrible inside. I think the dealers need to reign in some of these customers. Toffee leather . Houndstooth. Yellow stitching . Vile.

Looks like Chris Harris has bought a Touring

Hmmm they give him a 911 R for some time on loan so this could be that too.

However, I could be wrong, and if I am fair fooking play! I like the gold wheels against the black too, looking forward to his comments on it.

I was wondering that as it's on a Reading plate.

Check out the pictures for this Irish Green GT3....owner has gone to town on the Exclusive options. Acid Green Stitching and Seat piping combined with tan leather and houndstooth seats and then to add a touch of extra colour Guards Red dials set off against the tan leather air vents. Fair play to him but blimey he's brave!

+1 - vile inside - I mean really bad ! frown

I have houndstooth and piping coming on my GT2RS- but I would never have gone with that brown leather and such a vile combination of colours.

How things change when your on TV. I'm pretty sure he was complaining when 991 RS was launched as they wouldn't sell him one!

Car looks great though. Love the colour combo.

I think he means Porsche GB have loaned a GT3 touring to him as they did with 911R

I hope/reckon it’s his but who cares....he’s a proper, proper car nut who’s turned his love of things four wheeled into hopefully a hugely successful career. There aren’t many of us on here who can hold a candle to his car ownership history....I certainly can’t! And most of that long before TV or even his YouTube channel.

Totally agree. Have always been a big fan of his, although i prefer his YouTube videos to his Top Gear stuff! But i really hope he does well from it.

With regards his car ownership history i don't remember him having a huge selection of cars. Don't think he's had half the number of cars Harry Metcalfe has had! But could be wrong.

Definitely the worst I have seen. If you read the comments on the Instagram post they're similarly blunt...and the owner's posted his comment on there too.

Very true! If you don't have a strong conviction/need for either has to be the LWB's. I tried both in the showroom and find them both comfortable enough but I had a day in a 991 GTS with the Folding Buckets and found they were way too high.

It's odd to me that given the instructors at PEC all spend the first 15 mins telling you about the correct driving position and the cornerstone of that is getting the seat as low as possible....then they design the bucket seat so that it sits higher than a normal seat!

I sat next to Chris at a dinner event back in 2002 and invariably the conversation revolved around cars especially Porsches..I had a new Boxster S at the time however Chris advised me to get a 911 as he loved them..His love and enthusiasm for Porsches even back then was both genuine and infectious.
I remember him buying one of the first Gallardos when he was a hack at Autocar which he financed to the hilt..A true car enthusiast if there ever was one who also puts his money where his mouth is..
He usually buys his cars from Swindon which makes it odd that this Touring is on Reading plates however this might be just because he's a genuine VIP, his allocation came direct from Porsche GB and not via his OPC..
I actually prefer Top Gear now with Chris and the gang more than the previous adolescent motley crew..
