So by your reasoning you would never drive any other drivers car (including the Spyder)lol.
You clearly haven't driven a T.
As for the T being bought by mostly failed GT3 order customers
Just because the GT3 is a top drivers car doesn't mean the T isn't.
Many on here including me have a GT4 as well as a GT3 and just because the 3 is more focused that doesn't make the 4 less appealing in it's own niche way.
The T is a very usable 911 (mines got rear seats to add to it's usability) and reminiscent of the 997.1 Carreras imo.
A great overall package.
The T was launched to a T :-) to pick up failed GT3 orders, it worked, I never drove my GT4 for the last 3 months of owner ship, I have not done 1 mile in my 981 Spyder in 2 months now. why any one would pick up keys to a GT4 or a 911T when they can take out a GT3 would be daft, and look every one else agrees :-), I don't miss the GT4 one bit, I won't miss the 981 Spyder either. You clearly haven't driven a T.

if you cannot see how a Spyder differs from a 911T then I am a little shocked, but them I am always shocked at your posts as is ;-)
you don't own anything older, and seem to love all the new stuff which imo is a bit meh !
I like the 'T', but it's really a 'trim option' on the mainstream range, that enables buyers to, potentially, create a simpler, lighter, model.
In theory, this should be more driver focussed, like a GT3, but more like the old 968 and 911 'Club Sports' - although some seem to have reverted to fairly standard spec, with quite a lot of options.

So you are calling the latest and newest GT3 which you own (apparently...although no photos yet despite several others requesting) a bit meh. Ok.
As for liking older cars you better go and research when the e92 M3 was made.

You mean everyone else excluding those who have a GT3, other cars, and are also intending to buy a T as well. Including me, Richard and Taffy on here. I think you better apologise to us otherwise you will be the one who looks 'daft', to use your expression.
Btw are you unusually quiet in the Peugeot parts department today? Suppose it is a Monday. :

Garage queens eh?
No I have better cars to drive, so I am selling the cars I don't in the next few weeks. If I want to drive a drivers car I take either the GT3 or R, if the suns out I'll take the 987.2 Spyder.
the rest of my cars will be sold, I don't now use them and won't miss them. I don't miss the GT4 and that was sold back in Oct I won't miss the 981 Spyder as the 987.2 Spyder is better in every way.
look no one can drive for fun all the time, every one is very busy, so for you to say you would take the T or the GT4 over the GT3 as afun drivers car on a Sunday drive would be a shock there is no point !
And as you don't even track any of them most seem pointless to own any way, garage queens you say, lol you have the lot.
none of my cars are garage queens all have done more miles than yours.

My initial thought on the Steel brakes were these are crap, I am warming to them however still think they could be way better. The temperatures here in the UAE are obviously higher than most areas and that will be a factor. I took the car up a well known hill here and the brakes were really struggling on the way back down. The rear can get a bit unstable under very heavy braking i'm putting this down to track and tyre temps and probably my driving style. Will look into fluid at a later date as well once if got the hang of her.
The Dunlops hold up pretty well in the heat, with track temps at around 36 Degrees in the evenings they stand up very well. I generally don't stay out longer than around 10 minutes in a session at that they are hot!. Ive done two trackdays I recon I will get one more out of them. Cars covered just under 4000 Kilometers.
Jebel Hafeet? Awesome climb. Try not to snag the brakes on the way down. I've driven a lot of Porsches on track in the UAE and never had a problem with standard steel brakes. If the rear is unstable the first suspect is the diff, but since your car is new, that shouldn't be the case. You should be able to stay on track for an hour at a time without experiencing overheating.

I must be daft as I’ve often picked up the keys to the GT4 over my GT3......never mind my 911R/997 GT2RS/675LT/Performante amongst others. GT4 is a fantastic car IMO and holds its head high amongst far more expensive cars.

hahaha, it has but it's fun at the same time. We've all made enough money to blow hundreds of thousands on expensive cars. You don't get there by being nice to everyone God this has gone to st past month or 2.

I saw my first one of these on the road today - a Crayon (I think?) example heading Eastbound on the M4 near Leigh Delamere services - and it looked utterly and absolutely brilliant.
All of you who have one are very lucky people!
Yep, pics on the forum do not touch how good they look. Imo. The gen1 was by far the best looking 911...All of you who have one are very lucky people!

Basic spec essential on the T.
Apart from leather and stitching of course.:
Just got back from a very enjoyable few hours at my OPC trying to decide on an ideal manual car to complement my PDKs GT3..After looking at some Ts none came even remotely close to my ideal spec..As i wanted either a GR,GTS or RY with manual, T pack ,lightweight glass,no glassroof and sensibly priced..All had privacy glass and glassroof so i decided to buy something else.Apart from leather and stitching of course.:
I took out a white 981 Spyder and fell for its charms immediately and the noise it made with the top down was addictive..The wonderful 6 speed box and the 3.8L NASP engine coupled with about 150 Kg less weight than the heavy specced Ts i was offered sealed the deal..I think it complements my PDK GT3 better and after a bit of haggling i bought it..
It was also between £17k and £28k cheaper than the Ts i was offered..
Having said that if one of the Ts had been GR,Manual,Tpack, lightweight glass and about £90K i think i would have plumped for that instead..
I also saw and heard both a black and GTS 991 GT2 RS and everything else seemed boring and quiet in comparison..It is without doubt my all time favourite car and the one i would one day love to own.
To answer Mr D's question on getting another make of car; i briefly considered a Lotus but as i am in the running to get an RS i didn't want to jeopardise my chances of securing one...
