Nice quick sale at top money.

Wonder if he will buy that Viper Green GT4 there now ;-)

I was tempted to swap back and put £100k in my pocket.

The overs does play mind games with you as very thing seems cheap if you cash in on £40/50k tax free to buy a GT4/ R8 or what ever !

Means a GT4 is costing you circa £30k, A few here have swapped back I notice already as it makes for very cheap motoring in still a high end car, and a bit left to give it 430BHP ;-p

Or you can have a free Cayman R or Lotus Exige ,I am sure it crosses most peoples minds.

Thanks very much, I will speak with Rick to get the same grey colour, very helpful, will keep my OCD happy! Your car looks fantastic, they are such a special car, can’t wait to pick mine up...

Hi Mooro just confirm it with Rick.... he sent me small mock up samples of the options we cam up with, and that was his matching platinum sample, but I'm not sure what he calls it but it does look perfect in the flesh against the wheels, and the Porsche on the spoiler in the same colour looks great !

Thanks to all other comments as well, really loving it, just adds to its presence, totally loved driving it yesterday with the SharkWerks as well, its just epic and I truly feel privileged to own it and drive it!!

She is all asleep in the garage with her new GT3 cover now that was on offer from Porsche Exeter last week and I couldn't resist smile

The chase is better/more fun than the car some times :-)

I am finding cars less exciting :-( !! Porsche have no where to go imo, it's hard for them to make more and more exciting cars.

But I would love a 430CUP

People ask themselves the "How can they improve on this" question after the release of every round of GT cars....seems like AP and his team have got pretty good at it. Can't remember which review of the 991.2 GT3 RS It was but one of the journalists wrote "When I came here I was wondering how they could improve on the 991.1....I am now asking myself how they have improved it by so much". Same with GT3...although the engine was the obvious issue with 991.1 so maybe a more obvious area for improvement and they've certainly addressed that.

They will turn into Mclarens though if not care full. where the cars are pointless roads cars and just chasing numbers on track with more and more tech, and McLaren do tech better imo. I would say the up coming 570 LT will blow people minds in performance. let alone the 720 LT.

The GT3 RS is amazing, the ring time is amazing, the down force is amazing, where do you use it in full ? (I don't have a SPA garage there)

the 991.1 GT3 was a dead horse to me from the off, it's boring to drive imo , hence skipping that and buying a Manual GT4 , then Manual GT3.

But none are rip roaring exciting cars any more. They are scalpels which makes them a bit too easy to slice down the road in.
Amazing cars but it's very hard to be that excited, either that or I am getting old !!!

I am sure I would be smiling more in that 430 CUP, but £105k for an Exige is bonkers !!!!

I am not finding the excitement a problem but then this is my first GT car. I had no idea of the price of the Exige until I looked it up when you posted the picture. And then though it was bonkers!

I think the flipping has been more on the new cars: GT2 RS, GT3 and RS models more than ever.

One single OPC to have 4 flipped new GT3's in stock is shocking bad imo, and we know OPC's are selling GT2 RS off book before they are 12 months old !!!

also they have a 911R, GT3RS, 2x 991 GT3's.

what's going on at that Branch ?

OPC's have about 85 2nd hand GT cars in stock (plus the new off book ones) in the UK atm

The 991.2 GT3 is an amazing car. I am amazed that people are letting them go, mostly before they are even properly run-in. I'm increasing the rev range as I run the car-in and it just gets better and better. I think the financial incentives are driving decisions for many people (not poster above). I got the Touring version (will never track-it) and for me it's a perfect 911 - sounds unbelievable, engine is strong and looks like a regular 911.

OPC's are running record stock levels I think because of the factory shut down.

It's a mighty fast thing and feels V big, I have no idea how Lambo people get on.

The car feels solid as granite rock, cannot put my finger on it, but it's my 1st caged car and it's stiff as nails.

Not been in another car which feels like this to be honest, it's nothing like a GT4, that now feels soft and normal ish !
not that I have been in a normal car for years bar loaners and I hate them !!!

It's a hard call to make to a by stander as it's one hell of a car/Product. many people move on GT3's as they cannot be a daily and they have a hype following , I thought I could daily this , but no way is that possible, your ears would bleed and you would be going too fast every where.

I tried to daily my GT4 and that was a no no due to no lift and parking etc, this GT3 again while you can have lift etc it's a mental ride.

no other way to say, It's a GT4 on illegal banned drugs turned up to max.

I can daily my R and the 981 Spyder, none of the others.

To give you a simple answer to "are their limits too much for the road in reality"

Yes more than you could believe.

I max out my cars and people say how can you ? , I am not sure you will max out the new GT models bar track.
I have also been on track in some one else's, we pulled 1.67G and over took CUP cars and kept with 600BHP 458S down the straights.

It's eye opening what the new cars do on track, hence the mind blowing Ring laps times , The normal GT3 does 7.14 and sub 7 to 100mph !!

That's as fast as a Ferrari Enzo from a few years back and they are £2 million + hyper cars !

The new cars make the a 997.2 RS look SLOW and feel it , 5 seconds off the pace by 150mph.

a fun watch , out drags a 911 PDK turbo S !!! The GT3 has some magic in the engine, I also liked his flat shifts ;-)

Seriously, guys, sorry if it’s a dumb question...

The driver needs to know how to launch a manual and that's not nice on the car and needs skills.

0-!!! yep PDK launch control will win but that's was not my point. the GT3 only has 500BHP but it's 600 bhp fast !

Great Post and your enthusiasm is palpable. But I'm mystified. Only a couple of posts before you no longer found these cars exciting?

Can't imagine I will ever be bored with mine. Certainly not flipping even though the profit would be very welcome

I think the new cars can be exciting at 10/10th but very few will ever see it, watch a modern ring lap and you are not doing that on the road these days.

My 987.2 R is more exciting to drive the way I drive it even though it's a stter car in every way :-)

I love the new GT3, I love I could have a manual, the engine is "WOW" but it's not exciting to drive at 6th/10th like people seem to say they are !
does not mean I don't like it, people harp on about me hating the 981 Spdyer because I say a few things about modern cars people don't like ;-)
just people seem to have a hard on for the newest thing atm.

The most fun Porsche I own is still my 987.2 Spyder(and that still has many flaws) , it is what it is.

Managed to turn a 20 min return journey to my daughters gymastics class into a 50 mile drive this evening. Half open throttle and max 4K rpm but blimey it’s still got a bit. I absolutely love everything about the car and almost wish I’d gone for PCM delete! Just love all those small noises, love the feel of the smaller steering wheel and that gear change is just sensational. Can’t wait to be able to start stretching its legs.

Can’t see me ever wanting anything more hardcore or quicker.

Yes, the GT3 at 6/10 is probably going as fast as your Spyder is at 8/10. This is the issue afflicting all very fast cars and why I enjoy my classics so much. They have just the right performance for the road imo.

Having said that I feel the GT3 is still an exciting drive at any speed and this is where Porsche have really succeeded. I. E in creating involvement and charisma at normal speeds. Yes, you have to be at truly insane speeds to get that adrenaline rush because the car is just so capable whereas your Spyder will give you that hit at maybe a more sane level.

Aren't we lucky though to have such a choice
