Keep this thread alive guys, or is there any other thread to discuss .2 GT3 purchase/Q&A/spec ?

Having seen cars registered in March '18 or even unregistered in sale...I wonder if OPCs had some extra late allocation given and they've decided to buy themselves to then put cars on sale with premium.

Said that, wrt price, can someone explain me why a .2 GT3 is supposed to hold a price >160k in the next few years if a .1 GT3s are currently sat at £130?
I took delivery of my car 10 days ago....spec was locked in December! All 2018 allocations were originally for Q1 but production delays for various spec mean cars are still coming through.

Regarding the price differential you're looking a the best spec .1 vs the worst spec .2. I'd say price differential is in the £50k area for top spec cars.

The pricing range for .2's will be bigger than we have had for other GT3's as there are effectively 5 variants

Touring
Manual CS
PDK CS
Manual Comfort
PDK Comfort

Roughly that will be the most to least expensive.

I think the price difference will probably be £30k for similar spec i.e. PDK CS cars in the future between .1 and .2. Engine is a big difference. 997.1 and .2 are probably 20k apart with CS cars worth say £15k more than Comfort.

No not me. First decent trip out was last weekend to the PCGB Anglesey track day. A few new GT3s there and ten GT4s. smile

Have you looked at the cars .2 gen for sale on PH? I just looked prices are all over the place ,clubsport cars with ceramics at 190k, then same spec /mileage roughly at 175k,and then there is an odd car with zero spec at 180k .
Almost all for sale have ceramics and buckets which is very odd according to ph folklore, and lots of club sports. Not seeing any price difference between manual and pdk,but obviously the touring is the car to have in terms of price.

Picked mine up a few weeks ago, 1000 miles on the clock and still being run in. So far really impressed with the new engine matched to the manual box, I didn't think there would be much difference over the gen 1 but wow was I wrong the engine feel stronger with noticeable difference in torque lower down the revs, a real joy to drive, can't wait until the first excursion to 9K

because you get a car 4 years newer and manual :-) 991.1 seem very over priced to me.

And when you goto track days you see a lot of blue smoke or ticking engines in the gen 1 cars, 2 at this years RS day !!!

Been looking at the 3 white .2's at Solihull and they have been hanging around for a couple of weeks. I thought they would have gone by now.

I don't think white is a seller this time round, the comfort white 991.1 are lemons in the sales area.

Go bold or go home imo.

added to which they have 2k miles but are top money !!! you can buy a del miles car for the same price.

cars with 2k miles have to be 10k less over a del miles car if you want to sell them.

one even is 2 owner !!! screw that.

JZM have a white manual CS car up for £182,900 so the Solihull cars will struggle to sell for £5k more. JZM has the Martini logo on it but I am sure that can be removed!

Solihull cars all club sports as per my post yesterday,
Lots of choice if you want clubsport or buckets ,virtually no comfort specs for sale, ones that have been sold almost immediately .
