What's SOR?

I must visit a Lambo dealer then as I love the Performante!

2 manuals been sold off the OPC list,so down to only 7 manuals, 6 doom blue , one yellow with gash air vents !

I am still wowed by my GT3 in Manual as is every one who’s been in it to date, imo PDK don’t work with the car and is the RS choice.

Cheap car at £30k overs as there has only ever been one other 4.0l Manual GT3 and that’s 1/2 a mil.

So the nayslayers hoping for list are dreaming imo, if anything they will go up lol :-p nothing even close to it from any manafacture on the market, PDK opens up Ferrari and lambo and those buyers are buying those cars vs paying overs for an automatic GT3.
If I wanted a auto toady I would be picking up a AMG GTR £20k below list, great car at the money now.

4.0 Manual GT3, it’s a modern classic already, what a stunning drivers car.
Only car I have been in the last few years which makes me say wow and I giggle to myself.

Had a great day out today on a Prodrive factory tour, had a run in with the bmw owners club on my route back and thumbs up by every one.

Went to Top555 Thursday for their open night, it's amazing to go to super cars meets and realise you drive one of the only manuals there bar the baby GT4's.

Even Adam said it's the first manual GT3 he has seen at a meet up, what the fks wrong with people ? :-)

Emperors new clothes.........I did think it was that good to warrant the hype and manual gearboxes should only be fitted to cars with windy up windows.

Let me make it simple for you....I didn't think the Gt3.2 was that good and manual gearboxes are for old snotters.

Strange comment given the universal praise that car has received. Each to their own I guess...

No doubt you'll be saying driving is for old snotters when autonomous cars take oversmile

Question is did you buy one at £30k over, i doubt it, but would you??? Honesty is the best policy but im guessing i know your answer given how its the best car and it has to be manual!

Not saying i disagree with you about the cars abilities, albeit i have no experience of driving a GT3 to make any comment but to me someone else can buy it at £30k over, im not that desperate. Its neither a 918, a carrera GT or 911R not that ive driven any of them or will ever own one so not that special or significatly different from my 991.1tts to warrant the trade in difference. imo

There is no other car like it, it's quite a car.
What makes it over the older 997 GT3 is having about 100lb/ft toque more at 4.5k esp in today’s traffic and having to cut through it.

So you enjoy the car more of the time, when I had my 996 GT3 I only ever enjoyed a few rare drives due to the gearing and engine.

The 991.2 still demands a lot from the driver, I did over 2 hours today and it does make you tired and thankful of a rest.

The engine has the wow factor, the eps is amazing to a point eps works this time round, the folding buckets give the perfect seating angle, it,s driving bliss and feels solid as a rock.

I never got any of this from my GT4 which was a shame. I hope the next GT4 draws a lot from this GT3 , but I fear it will offer PDK and thus most will spec an Automatic :-(

I think the manual CS GT3 is a rare order which is a shame as it's surly must be one of Porsche’s greats.

Sounds like you're bigging it up ready to flip wink

I think a Touring was the way to go if you wanted a manual, but each to their own as always smile

The GT3 is a bit of a tech overload car now so as much as I can understand (to a point) some people leaking a wet blob in their knickers at the thought of holding a knob in their hand instead of playing with a pair of flaps, I do think if they ever get the chance to drive a 997 GT3 they'll appreciate why the 991 was originally intended for PDK. Not saying the 991 should be PDK only, but you need to drive old and new to appreciate what these cars are about. In other words - if you want to go manual and enjoy a drivers car for what it is then you'll do it better in a 996 or 997.

Don't agree. I went from a 996GT3 to 991.2 and have to say the new car is much more rounded and suited to road driving. The Manuel gives that extra layer of interaction at sane speeds and imo when you're really on it too.

Yes, in some ways my old 996 was more rewarding, steering feel for a start. I also preferred the heavier clutch.

But the new Cup derived engine is simply astonishing, more impressive even than the Mezger dare I say. The engine makes the car, and matching it to a very nice manual gearchange, plus modern car tech, vastly superior ride and better looks creates an unbeatable package.

I loved my 996GT3 and miss it greatly. Until I get in my 'manuel' 991.2!

Actually Dave,my new 21yr old blond girlfriend hates the fixed 918 buckets because they don't recline...;)censoredhehe
I heard about her John and I’m sorry to hear about your episode in the restaurant the other day when you were called all sorts of names due to having a 21 yr old girlfriend at the age of 51.

I hope it didn’t ruin your 5 year anniversary?!

Nobody is buying mine for £160k but it was £139k and a bit....things like deviated stitching, painted vents etc can do that to the price on top of all the normal big ticket options.

Definitely not a flippers spec.....although I took Mrs Cheib out in it for the first time last night and I think she’d like me to! It’s too loud, seats are too upright (clearly disciple of the 911R school of thought on the 918 buckets) and it’s just “not very comfortable”. Oh and she thought I was being childish when revving the engine out to 7k rpm!

Was your main criteria for the girlfriend the fact she liked your cars ?!?!
It has something to do with it Chieb but more so the big boobs and amazing arse wink

I did pay overs :-) , it's nothing like a turbo to drive, that does not mean the cars for every one mind you.
