Of all my recent Porsches the 991.2 GTS Coupe PDK is hands down the best allrounder as long it has my personal 'must have ' RAS. Without it the GTS struggles with the torque when cornering which translates to understeer. Its no fluke that Porsche fit it as a standard feature on all its recent special GT cars,
I agree it could do with a more exciting soundtrack which is purely subjective. However once you get a GT3 a GTS will always feel like the consolation prize in terms of engagement.

Morning .

I just think they feel like two completely different cars tbh - It’s fascinating to me, I find the difference that Porche has engineered In is incredible - how they make two versions of the same thing feel so different is beyond me - they are very clever people.

They are both brilliant at what they are meant to do though. The .2 GTS is simply the most brilliant all rounder; the ultimate daily driver. Whilst the GT3, is well, a GT3 - what a car !

In fairness I’m comparing a PDK (with RWS) GTS to a Manual GT3 though - so the different box’s will have a huge bearing on this.

Anyone who owns either is very lucky smile

I test drove a Macan GTS to run as a daily alongside the GT3, it was perfect for my needs but part of the appeal of a daily is not having to care about it too much and as a value proposition it’s nowhere compared to a £35k Golf R Estate that’s comparable on space and speed.
Golf R is a brilliant car, a mate has one with the Akra exhaust which is hilarious/daft in equal measure! I’d been using a MkV GTi as a daily and just felt like having something rather different. OPC has one coming in ina great/unusual spec (Sport Classic Grey) so went for it!

Yes C the Golf RS are good value and a great winter car.

Just make sure they do not have keyless entry which is next to useless and use a disklock on the steering wheel unless garaged because scrotes love to nick 'em.

It does, wouldn’t have specced it myself but as I said it was a car the dealer had already specced. Luckily where we live it’s quite private and I am also careful about making sure I don’t get followed home regardless of whether I am driving the GT3 or anything else.
