Worst Spec'd 911 R - Ever?
Discussion
Who gets the opportunity to buy one of these and fits full leather sport seats, no chrono and that horrible side graphic?
Plus points for the flywheel however.

Cool 1 million for a 280m car.

I agree.
The 'houndstooth' seats are one of the 'R's nicest details.
Personally not keen on stripes of any, and particularly dislike door stripes, and those tacky little decals are no better.
Let's assume 991.2 GT3s are going to be flipped at, say, £150k - then I'd say an 'R' should be worth, what, £300k max?

That, good sir, is deeply, deeply impressive. 4 posts and you managed to turn a thread on questionable R options into a value thread The 'houndstooth' seats are one of the 'R's nicest details.

So as we're talking values ;
Swap comfortable leather armchairs for custom trimmed 997 GT2 folding carbon buckets £10k tops (and probably a couple of £k less)
Replace rear lights with those of your choice. What ? a grand tops ?
Remove those door stickers. Five minutes with hairdryer and a quick polish.
Job, jobbed and all for less than £10k I reckon. Bargain.
When would sir like it delivered ?

991.2's will be flipped for around £180k I reckon. List will be around £135k for a good spec Don't forget the 991.1 was up at £175 k summer 2015.
And when care is put into the specification, great things happen. Unotaz's car from his post: http://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-gt3rs-and-911r/...

Very well, have just chosen which tacky stripes to put on it, (painted and lacquered, so hairdryer-proof). Went to visit last week as they had made various colours of stickers so I could see them on the car. It's about 10 days away from completion. No clock!
