OK so im posting this to try and get some other peoples views and opinions.

Iv owned all sorts of motors over the years now and i sold my EVO 4 at the end of summer, previous to that i had owned two classic subarus and a blobeye wrx subaru. A little run down of other cars iv owned... megane 225,fiat coupe 16vt,200sx s14a,b5 audi s4.

Spring is here and im looking to buy something again but this time as a long term buy, i could take out some finance and buy something like a bmw 135 (n54), Golf-R or megane 250 cup but i would rather not have the finance hanging over me if i could help it.

I would say my heart lies within the classic subaru when it comes to how the car feels to drive and performs, the evo was good but it didnt feel as nimble and it lacked the noise you get from the boxer engine. Both my previous Subarus have been JDM classics that have had some work and running approx 300bhp.

Im debating this time trying to find myself a really tidy sti, ideally a v4 sti but would consider an earlier if it was immaculate... but iv also been thinking if a fiat coupe 20vt could make sense, i like the look of them personally - they have the 5 pot engine note and are supposed to perform really well once around 300bhp.

Iv looked at the B7 Audi A4 TFSI aswell in wagon or saloon form i like both.

Wondered if you guys could fire your opinions in, usually i would have my search based on a few fundamentals, nice sounding engine, not fwd, motorsports backround.

You won't want the Fiat Coupe if you don't want FWD or the A4 unless it's a Quattro.

from what im told, the coupes are supposed to put the power down very very well though? an yeah the audi a4 would only be a quattro.
