Help me scratch my (996) itch?

997.1 is a heavily facelift 996 in many ways, you gain more traditional headlights, but you also gain a lot of weight (over the 996.1).
I think the thing to do is to drive them, but I am a total hypocrite here in that I only considered amber-indicator/cable throttle cars when looking for my 996, simply because I wanted to have the car that Pinky Lai designed, not Porsche's reaction to the consumers of the time.

I decided in the end that I simply couldn't make my mind up - so I bought a lovely little yellow 986 3.2S facelift model with 54K on it and lots of little extras. This has got me into into ownership, and in a couple of years when I trade up will be able to move into a decent 911...
Insurance was reasonable at 300 quid - am busy clearing my garage when I can be dragged away my new girlfriend!
