Aha! So it was your car in with Matt when I popped by a few weeks ago. I was wondering g if it would appear on this thread!

Those Fuchs look excellent by the way, although I've gone with silver centres (and I'm keeping the aero spoiler).

Where abouts are you based? I'm down in St Albans.

Looks amazing!

One tiny point that bugs me a bit. These ducktail kits need to come with a cover for the third centre brake light that is permanently obscured and rendered useless.

I might need to play around with photoshop and see what it looks like. I need to sort out some of the interior first

Agreed

Its terribly bad form to just pitch up with a 996 in this 996 thread and not give us many details. Try harder man.

Yeah that's the one, he's done a great job, very impressed with the result.

I've done a fair few miles in it and a track day since picking it up so got it looking filthy quite quickly. But all washed again now.

Can you post a pic of your car? I like the silvers too, that was a tough choice actually. are you doing anything else to the car?

I'm based in NW London but always out and about in Herts, Bucks, Cotswolds way etc.

How do you find the light weight flywheel? I've heard mix reports from people about them

Love it, changes the driving characteristics of the car completely, it just revs so freely now.

I can see why it may be annoying if it was to be used as a daily though as it forces you into a lower gear all the time.

I'll post a pic on Friday when I'm back in UK. Your car looked awesome in the metal.

Mines a C2, but I've done a similar list of jobs, even being on factory sports suspension with bilsteins.
Have gone a bit further on the interior though.

Not bothered with the cooling upgrades this time round, but I've got 200 cell cats and ss manifolds.

Your looks fantastic, especially the Fuchs and duck tail, and from that spec, I bet it goes pretty well too! I saw your car last year when the previous owner had it for sale - it was on my "potential" list, but I went the way of a Zanzibar C4 instead as I love the colour. I look forward to seeing some more pictures of it. The chaps on the 911uk forum would be very interested in finding all about the transformation.

To be honest I tend to use a lower gear any way as I don't like to labour the engine.

My old one is still for sale, same spec as the above, I am surprised it hasn't sold yet TBH.
I hope a threadist got this - it appears to be sold. I wasn't able to make the trip to look at it. Needed an MOT and service and the parking sensor rear bumper not the prettiest but looked to have potential.

thumbup to Ed who was able to pass on some additional info to me.

Thanks. Yes I remember you're car too as we were looking at a similar time. Love the colour.

Yes I may venture over to 911UK too and post a thread on the car there too. I have loads of pictures and would be a good record for myself actually.

Me too. Now that I’ve changed to a 997 selector my life has changed. I now drop a cog and floor it even when unecessary. I’m a right little hooligan these days laugh
