Not many, I grant you- probably none, in fact.

But indisputably, it's a factory non-sunroof car.
Yep biggrin

Does anyone know the paint code for the bonnet/boot release levers?

Also:

In an ideal world the steering wheel would be closer to me.

Two options to achieve this- the Carnewal hub extender or the Porsche/Momo Cup wheel.

The extender is ~£550, the cup wheel is ~£300.

The Carnewal extender brings the wheel 55mm closer, I can’t find a figure for the Cup wheel, just “closer”.

Which would you go for, reader of this post, and why?

I was out taking photos of mine earlier as I'm going to be selling it... I took this and am considering not selling it now!

To me, this is an early 996, black, coupe, C2, ambers, hollow spokes

Be aware that when you put a spacer or dished style wheel on the indicators may just be out of comfortable reach so you can't flicks then with the hand on the wheel as you turn.

Might make sense to go for the Cup wheel to prove the case, as it were- £200 less exposure and I can flog it for most of the original outlay I suspect.

Its lovely isn't it, call me a heathen but I'm selling it to buy a 997 so not going far!

Rather tempted to stick it in the barn at my parents place and keep it a few years.

Why are you using eBay to sell it? That ticks so many boxes. Might just be me but I always think of eBay as last chance salon

I'd like to sell it so that I can collect the 997, eBay has a lot of chancers (been offered 7k CASH NOW already) but has a big reach and I've had a good amount of genuine interest already this evening.

£550 for a spacer is just madness if you ask me. I should make some and flog them.

Dont forget if you do go to a Cup type wheel then extenders are available for sensible money so you could buy a flat wheel and extend with spacers.

I have a Cup type copy which I think are cheap as chips.

Momo boss and then you have your choice of aftermarket wheels & spacers to fine-tune. That's what I did. Needs some minor DIY skills to connect the horn & fit a resistor in place of the airbag.

£550 for that extender is bonkers.

Honestly I don’t know- I’m on Malta right now and the car isn’t.

How upright do you recall the seat back being?

I bought the Cup wheel btw- the spacer is actually £700 as Carnewal don’t include VAT in their site price (which was news to me).

Wasn't PPBB thinking about making & selling wheel spacers at one point?

They're based in Belgium so won't show UK taxes

They could have EU or non-EU prices, it’s the Belgium VAT they added (21%), nothing UK is being added. Post Brexit we’ll pay UK VAT plus import duties, but that’s a little way off yet.

I’ll have a play when I get back, right now the seat is too close to the pedals as it’s a stretch too far to reach the wheel with the seat back where I’d really like it.

This gets fitted on Saturday, I can always revert to the standard wheel if I hate it:

Onto the main subject on my mind today - battery life.

I parked the car, alarm on, then went to Sicily for two weeks.

Came back, car is totally dead - clock set to zero and the radio needing the code entered.

I tried to jump it from the Volvo (also parked for the same length of time and started on the first spin), but the Porsche battery was simply too flat, so the 911 is now standing immobile whilst I wait for a CTEK charger to arrive.

Is this (2 weeks to total flatness) normal? Or is my battery FUBAR?
