That's a brave colour...
I could live with that - rather like it actually.

Just popped to Aldi in mine. Definitely gives me a very smug feeling when I see it parked up in amongst the other boring cars. In resale silver mine is barely noticeable. Especially since it hasn't seen a sponge for at least a month or two. I still keep thinking boxster red wheels to match the seats then I think leave it plain.

I'm an absolute amateur, but I tried this last year and it made a big - positive - difference. Well worth trying.

Can you elaborate on the effect rake has on these cars ?

It's been on the market for a while and I've decided I really like it. Very 90s.

I think ambers might be a step too far though.. (much as I like ambers..)

Terracotta fan here but I have to say no way to wheels! Car looks cool as it is.

Personally I’d leave them silver. Honestly think it looks the nuts. If I had a c2 I’d be after a set of those wheels you have. Spend the pennies elsewhere, lord knows with an old porka it won’t be long til your releaved or your surplus cash.

It's sold. Don't know when, don't know where but it's sold. I was fully tempted.

They're in a bad state so definitely need something. I still want to give the 18 another go once I've got some time for back to back testing.

Have we had this one - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/382449819966

24k
69,000 Miles
Aero
Buckets

The car had a full engine rebuild with no expense spare costing £12,000 carried out by Porsche factory trained mechanics and Hartech - which could mean a Hartech rebuild although the language is a bit guarded

This was on a little while ago. Most comments centred on the obvious poor paint blend line halfway along the door

I posted it originally - thought the £12k engine build was more important than some paintwork, but apparently not!

I dont mind about paint problems but if it has had a major shunt it could be bent.

I agree with you. I'd rather budget to spend a grand or so getting the paint sorted and have peace of mind about the engine!

This line concerns me. It doesnt state clearly its a full Hartech rebuild - or am I being a bit err an-al?

Thing is you're then in for £25k plus anything else that comes up. Doesn't feel like a massive bargain. Yes it would cost you that much to do it yourself but you'd never expect to fully recoup on selling

What I mean is, if the engine checks out as a Hartech rebuilt unit then I wouldn't be fussed over the paintwork as it's easier and cheaper to sort that out.

I'd take crappy paint with a solid engine every single day of the week - don't care how my car looks, if it goes, handles and stops as intended

Could be Hartech supplied a single head and then the guys Indy rebuilt it, the language used is opaque and therefore suspicious.

I suspect that there’s 10k of work in there before it’s a usable car
