I doubt those alloys are 17", looks good apart from that.

Couldn't live with that interior personally.

Luke at FGP is fantastic. He also has a decent chunk of stock coming through, with 5 other early 996s being prepped for sale at the moment. I'd recommend going to see him for a chat if you're in the market. He's just picked up a Gaurds Red Aerokit on an 'S' if anyone is trying to source that particular unicorn?
Presumably this one then...ATM said:

Just seen the red Welsh car in the thread above. This is now at FGP, saw it arrive last night when I was picking mine up. Sounded fruity.
I'm tempted by this. If he paid 12 I wander what he'll market it for. Is their rep good - I've never heard of them.ATM said:

He's a young Porsche guy doing what he loves.
Big into Facebook, so he's going to have to keep us buyers happy to maintain a reputation. I've got no connection, but he was very good to deal with, and knows his stuff. I've got first refusal on a Black/Savannah car he's prepping at the mo - although I may be the only person in the market that wants it!
Preparation on my car was immaculate.

I'm not on Facebook which might make me unique too.
His cars seem to go quite quickly once they're marketed. I guess he needs to keep stock coming or he'll have no business. So it's not surprising he is snapping up cheap looking cars like the Welsh red car.

Private buyer gets peace of mind and all the hard work done.

OK how do I view Luke's stock & what does FGP mean, I thought you meant Finlay Gorham Porsche
If you look on eBay you'll find him there. Here is the silver car that's been mentioned: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/252946605822richardalanlee said:
That was next on my list to look at. I'd say it's definitely worth a trip. Where abouts are you based?

I live just outside Bedford so both Friends Green and the private sale in Rugby aren't far from me - I'm prepared to travel for the right car anyway. That GT3 kitted red one looks lovely and colour choice makes a nice change. However i won't be in a position to buy until the end of the month.Just seen the red Welsh car in the thread above. If you're looking for a particular spec of car, I'd suggest speaking with the most active dealers in the market & telling them you're looking & your general budget/spec as the likes of 911Virgin often have cars that are advertised but immediately shown as "sold" - I sold them a 968 Sport a good 10 years ago & I handed it over in the morning & it was sold by them in the afternoon. A good indie/specialist will have a little black book of strong customer requirements & give you the heads up as soon as the car is bought, even if it's not prepped. When I sadly sold my 996, it sold via an off-forum discussion after someone had said I've a friend looking for one.A nod from me for 911 Virgin; Tom was excellent when I bought and sold my GT3 through them.
This may be incorrect, but I think there is room for a specialist, focussing on 996, 986, 987 in the sub £20k range.
RPM were stockpiling 996 C2s a few years ago, but it seems this may have been to fuel their CSR programme (and good for them).
911 Virgin obviously do often have sub 20k stock, but of the 15 cars on their site today only one is in that bracket.
Essex Presitge often have Porsche in this range, but they're not a marque specialist.

I'm not sure how much there is to be made on each car because you can easily spend several thousand on one depending how anal you are. The market may appreciate good early cars but there is always going to be a glass ceiling. RPM have been selling one of their specials for 35k and it looks expensive. Maybe the natural market for these is in the 12 - 16 range now. Maybe people will stretch to 20. I just don't know. 20k is entry price into a 2009 987 with the newer engine and that is always going to be the completion for early 996 cars I believe.

I'll be interested to see what the red kitted car is marketed for
The miles are higher than I'd ideally like... But if it's priced right, and the history is good... I'd buy it.
The original ad showed great history up to 2010 - if similar history continued... And the guy prices it well.. I will be interested!
The silver car at 13.9k is actually very local to me... It does look nice, well priced & lovely miles... I might call to see what history is has... But I really have been holding out for a guards red
