That's the first car I have seen that I think I may have bought over the one I did.

This looks saucy (just a pic from a poster on rennlist)

Been trying to find a thread on this. Seems to be a picture posted on Rennlist from a post originally made on facebook. Anyone know of the origin, or anything similar, please?

For something so individual it really does look a simple recipe. Vanilla coupe, some trick suspension & retro Fuchs

Standard VAG enthusiast OEM+ recipe: cheap coilovers, stickers and expensive wheels. Maybe chuck in a rear wiper delete and debadge.

So few Porsche are modified from standard though, anything slightly different stands out. Those wheels look heavy.

That would be the fear: looks great, drives like st.

It's not a million miles from the CSR really, just lower.

It could be running Ohlins and drive great, who knows.

For a daily drive on British roads I like my standard suspension.....

For sure. Our roads aren't friendly for cars with minimal clearance.

Last night, I took my tape measure out and worked out what a 30mm drop would look like on my car... compared to mine, the one above looks to have a c.50mm drop!

I just measured mine, I reckon I have about 28mm before the tyre would be sitting inside the arch, thing is I don't think mine sits that low even for it having MO30 fitted

Mine doesn't look any different to that on 17 year old stock springs.

Whoa there cowboy. My car is as low as a low thing feeling low or lower. It has absolutely no problems dealing with the urban jungle. Don't assume low means problems for these.

Well I certainly have challenges on the roads I use. Something as low as the silver car above (is yours similar?) would be a problem I think.

your lucky if my guy is £10 an hour more than basic indy garage, so much so that I used to shove my Mrs 12 year old Saab Convertible to him as I trust him not to try and rip me off.
My local indy Eporsch is not much if any more than a half decent local garage. I have a long term relationship with them so they do the odd and dont charge and will often discount their labour anyway.

On the running costs side of things, last year I spent around £1800 on a big service, coffin arms, new front pads/braided hoses and a water pump. This year I've spent £500 or so on a small service and a new key fob and coding.

It could do with new manifolds at some point and I'm getting a coolant hose replaced next service as it will need doing. They don't have to cost the earth*, although mine had an IMS, suspension and brake refresh before I bought it so maybe I'm lucky smile

We're not counting modifications and upgrades are we? laugh

CSR-like is very simple to ape or DIY if you were keen enough. It's not like they come with a rebuilt or forged engine with bigger capacity or trick cams. Similarly the suspension isn't that hard to think about too. Fresh arms and bushes make a decent difference, add a couple of adjustable bits such as rear toe arms while you are there, slot the front turret for "custom" geo and secret squirrel "fast road" spec, add some Cup2 or PS4S, pick your damper of choice to suit your budget ...

Agree. I can't recall where it was discussed but that was the conclusion of the collective.

No PS4S in 18 as far as I know. Which is why I can't decide what tyres to go for. And I fancy staying 17.

Day I bought it. Hopefully gives an idea.
