For something so individual it really does look a simple recipe. Vanilla coupe, some trick suspension & retro Fuchs
Standard VAG enthusiast OEM+ recipe: cheap coilovers, stickers and expensive wheels. Maybe chuck in a rear wiper delete and debadge. So few Porsche are modified from standard though, anything slightly different stands out. Those wheels look heavy.

Do I need to be a member to see pics or are there none on the ad?ETA Having said that, there's also the school of thought that seals being out the way allows oil to be splashed directly into the bearing.

This thread is pretty long, but one of the reasons for the popularity of the early 996 is that they dont suffer the IMS failure of the 3.6 cars. Btw this car has averaged 100 miles a month for the last couple of years. If its available next week I will be very surprised.
Yes, I know. It's why I'm here. It hasn't been used in the winter so has sat around a bit and needs a service but I like it.ferrisbueller said:

FFS it's priced to reflect that & even more. If you think you can pick up a fully sorted, over serviced with preventative engine work for £12995 you are in la la land.jonny996 said:

Ive seen a set of custom wheels I really like so this is more of a feeler for sale add as Id need to agree a sale on these first.
8.5x18in et48 and 10x18in et45.
Kerscher FX wheels, made in Germany so good quality. Satin alloy rims with satin black centres. No spacers shown in the photos.
All in good condition apart from one I stupidly kerbed the other week. I believe this would dress up fine.
Wheels are near Aberdeen but depending on sale Id need to probably drive to Cumbria area to pick up new ones.
Centre caps not correct size so only just stay in with some tape round the clips. They need 70mm clip size. They have been fine for about 1000mile.
These cost me £1500 about 2 months ago, looking for £1050.

I think a courier would be around £80 judging by what I paid to ship my old set of wheels off to the buyer

For reference, was looking about after someone had commented that the Fuchs are heavy and found this site which has a pretty comprehensive table of wheels and their respective weights.
http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php
The blurb I've seen suggests that 18" Fuchs are 8.2 kg F. and 8.8 kg R.
ETA. Looks to be 3-4 kg a corner lighter than the OEM rims typically seen.
