yup......... i have heard (and my local specialist advises) fluid service annually, but in fairness... it does seem a bit much to expect that of a garage queen that doesn't do many miles each year.

certainly i have not come across a 996 that has been serviced every year of its life - although i assume they exist....

i'd definitely like a car that has been owned by an enthusiast (preferably for a while) and garaged - ideally

the red one is lovely........ and the dealer looks to have done a good job prepping it - both aesthetically and mechanical..

personally i wouldnt spend 18K+ on one with 111K miles........ but no doubt someone will !! it ticks every box for me that one !

i'm just off the phone....... chap is due in to see it any minute who is very interested...... he is calling me back whatever the outcome afterwards.

higher miles than i'd ideally like....... but it ticks every other box

cheaper one..........

i just hope its not the aforementioned dealer buying another 'well priced' red car and pushing it out of my budget !

Called earlier this morning again..

Initially to be told, yup.. car here for sale, yes has service history /books/receipts to view onsite... but bear in mind it's a very cheap 996

Then to be told, sorry - it sold yesterday... apologies I was off yesterday.

No big deal.... but is fairly obvious it needed s few quid spent- but was priced accordingly in my opinion.

thats part of the great thing about these cars....... some hate the aerokits - for some (me included) feel they absolutely 'make' them... i personally dont see the attraction of a std base 996.. then again - i don't like a lot of the interior colours...

guards red aerokit black leather, 3 spoke steering wheel........ mmmnnnnnnnn I'll keep an eye out for my own personal unicorn

looks like a nice car......... the colour suits it. with those miles... and if its proper clean and good history - ask price isnt far away for a dealer i'd have thought.

i will still wait in the wings for my guards red unicorn aero kitted car....... similar miles to that woudl be nice !

Surprised you didn't buy it. I guess it was the one at Friends Green Porsche.
I'm not sure if it was that one.... personally the FG car had too many miles for me. I will keep searching.. the right car will come - I don't 'need' it so not a panic

did a bit of a google yesterday for guards red 996s. the below appeared. i dont recall seeing it advertised on autotrader/pistonheads/ebay.... but apparently sold a 'long' time ago according to the vendor's reply to me.

it looks good in the pics..... but the dealer trying to flog it off as a 'trade' sale is enough to be wary of !

that service history too !!
