I reckon (depending on how you mount them on the sliders) that you’d be able to slide an SPG fat enough forward to get slim people into the back.

What I meant by daily is hoping in & out, not long drives. I would assume one you are in and they are set up correctly they would actually be more comfortable than standard, they just look difficult to get in & out of
Jonny - you're quite right, they do require some consideration for in/egress.

I've previously had an Exige and my Carrera has been tweaked for fun-road-driving only, so i'm happy with the effort required, adds to the event - but appreciate it would be too much PITA for others.

Totally agree, very comfortable for spending a day-or-so in the saddle, a cage/harness setup would be perfect... especially as I've completely stripped all rear interior!

I had Recaro SPGs in one of my dailies for 5 years - my back had never been better in all of my life.

I'd love to put them in my 911, but I need rear seat access.
My old BMW e36 coupe had an SPG drivers seat. Really really comfortable on a long trip to the Nürburgring and back at a time when I really wasn't sitting comfortably for long periods. I think they're more comfortable with harnesses too.

I'd agree on that - I had harnesses but kept the belts for short trips, so it was quicker, but always felt exposed in a diagonal belt after being so used to a harness!

The headunit itself looks good, but it doesn't work in a 996. It is an 80s style radio in a late 90s dash..

Sorry just my opinion, my 1986 300SL had a similar looking radio in it

Got my new radio in, the trim shop can't fit me in until the new year for the seat so I'll be packing the car away tomorrow.

Thanks, they're 8.5 x 18 ET43 and 11 x 18 ET63
They are pretty much GT3 specs.

What tyre sizes are you running?

Do you get any rubbing?

Has anyone here fitted a GT3 front splitter to a non aero kit front bumper?

From memory I think he is running 295 35 and 235 40. I'm less sure about the front size than the rear. I seem to remember him having the biggest rear tyre ever known to grace a 996.

Rears on James’ car are a 295/30.

Some people running are 305’s in the US!

My 996 is working today so we're going for a little drive. I've not driven her for about 3 weeks. That's what is feels like anyway.

It’s the interior they designed for the 993, so technically it’s an early to mid nineties dash.

I may go back to the Becker, the performance of this has not impressed me so far.

The continental works perfectly and doesn’t look out of place in a 996 dash.

I'm ashamed to admit that interior colour influenced the car I purchased
Shocking
I was the same as nunpuncher. I had to have a black interior - all the other colours look awful to me.

Sad day for me. It's time for the 996 to leave me.

Please can you lot give me some feedback on my advert? Too much or not enough detail? Way out of touch with the asking price?

Shame you’re selling. Love the colour.

Good advert and I think it’s priced just right. Won’t hang around for long.
