what is an 'early' 3.4 996?
Discussion
The prices of those 2 kitted cars I think is crazy..... I still keep one eye open for a guards red kitted early 996.... but i’m In no panic, and ultimately for me if the genuine valuations gets into early 20s i’ll Move my sights to a gen 2 997. For me it has to be guards red..... childhood dreams and all that
Thought I’d found my unicorn...... until I looked at the interior!

ah - didn't realize it has been re listed..........
i guess lack of original service book...... and possibly real evidence of service history may be putting folk off...... i imagine if he had decent history he would have the usual picture of a wedge of receipts etc.......
despite not being guards...... if it was local to me i'd certainly be having a gander at it

i guess the red one is priced 'fairly' given the miles.... it looks a pretty clean aero kitted car, service history looks 'ok' woudl be good to know what has actually be done or if its just stamps in book.
but agree with the other comments.. the interior is just an absolute no no for me... i couldn't live with that

That can’t be far away...... I still haven’t been able to find my guards red unicorn aero kitted early 996! Do I still keep an eye out for one..... I am still I need no panic, and don’t ‘need’ one anyway... but if the history is good on that car, it’s certainly not dangerous money..
What is the vendor supposed to be like?

That's exactly the type of 996 I'm looking for. He built it to use for Classic Marques Championship and added the seats, bumper/bodykit and cage himself. Looks nice.
Do you know the guy? I just spotted it.... the seats and cage put me off personally (cage more so) I assume cage means rear seats are unusable... but may be a bolt in? I’m sure it would cosmetic scars to remove it.... if he added everything.. at least he would have the STD front seats most likely.Depending no history and actual condition I need person... it looks nice.
Cheers guys....
Would be interesting to see the cage install.... if it’s been done neatly and is bolt in... maybe not a big deal.
Sounds like the guy has done a few hills and or sprints... wouldnt put me off, would rather that than a car that has done a load of track days.
I had all but given up on my unicorn... and had thought of leaving it a year or two and searching for a 997.2
I’m still loving my E90 M3 saloon... hence haven’t just bought any 996... the right car will come

that 'new' guards red car looks interesting.

its true what they say............ one bus comes along.......... ! lol

The guards red car on eBay.... Is just sold, unfortunately not to me...
I was 2nd in line.... there was a guy arranged to view it before I called him this afternoon.... he has a deposit down.
I genuinely felt that was the one!
Maybe I should re consider The one with cage and gt3 seats... I don’t really want either of those.. in particular as I want to be able to carry the kids in the back.
Ho hum
