Does look smart, probably further than I'm able to travel currently to view a car though (I'm in deep, dark sussex). So far my platforms of search are:
Pistonheads (of-course :-D )
Autotrader
eBay
Car&Classic
Motors
911UK Forum
Also periodically checking the auction site 'Onthemarket'
Is there any other decent potential source I've missed out?

I find the "I, the driver, must be able to finely adjust the intermittency of my wipers" thing very endearing tbh, I think the presence of the knob to so do marks the last of the old-school 911's.
I do enjoy fiddling with my knob as I drive along.I get my passenger to do it

Speaking of RPM, this bad boy CSR is up for sale - I believe that it was on Collecting Cars a few months ago

Perfection in my eyes. Tried to buy it but was a day late

The feature is also on 997s. And the stalk order is fixed.

This looks lovely. Not normally a fan of silver wheels and silver cars but looks spot on here.In other news I fitted a 3.6 expansion tank to my 3.4 yesterday. Removing the smaller 3.4 tank was very simple indeed but refitting the larger 3.6 tank was a total nightmare, a real struggle. However once in it bolted up very nicely. Lots of evidence of the older tank leaking once it was removed so glad to have got this job done.
Lots of guides online seem to advocate bleeding the whole coolant system but I just drained the fluid in the tank into a drain pan (quite a lot all over the ground too, very annoying....) then refilled with a couple of litres when the new part was installed, no issues with airlocks and complicated bleeding procedures that way.
comparison:
Only difference from a plumbing perspective is the smaller bleed hose coming off the top of the expansion tank, barely visible here. The plug for the level sensor is relocated to the side but plugs in just the same.

Nice little upgrade, how much extra cooling capacity does that give you?In other news I fitted a 3.6 expansion tank to my 3.4 yesterday. Thanks, what a great idea to use the 3.6 tank every bit helps keeping the cooling down, i'll do the same mod i think when i need a new tank. To be honest it's not an upgrade as such, although the extra capacity is welcome.
The tanks are known to split and I could see some evidence of coolant leakage (white deposits) under the left rear chassis leg.
The 3.4 tank costs ~£400 whereas the 3.6 tank costs ~£100. Although there was a point at which I would have spent the extra £300 just to get the bloody thing to fit...

Go on then, £17k.
Mine is in getting new Bilstein M030 dampers fitted with all the new top mounts, bearing, bump stops etc.
I have just done all the control arms, drop links and tie rods, can't wait to get it Geo'd and back on the road.

Mine’s had the M030 kit fitted along with new brakes, clutch and IMS. Also got the TopGear mild sports exhaust and 200 cell cat along new PS4s and other bits and bobs.

WBAC have graciously valued by 2001 3.4 manual C2 996 with 37k on the clock at £13k. I thought values were going up?
My WBAC quote was £150 for my 1998, 72,000 mile manual C2 cabriolet. It's in as good a condition as I can make it, which has included a new roof and a full doors off, glass out re-spray in the factory colour, full suspension re-fresh with Ohlins R/T coil-overs, full Morel stereo etc etc.£150 felt, I would say, low.

I’ve been offered £24k for it via a private PH message and have declined.
