Whilst that isn’t an example I would entertain, I do dread selling my car as Porsche buyers are incredibly fussy and want it all compared to other brands in my experience.

Thank you fir the wheel/spacer wisdom Hugh.

Mine failed its MOT last year because one headlight was slightly wonky - which rather blotted its copy book from an MOT perspective.

P4 NBH is the plate, I bought it in 2016 - and spent a fair amount of money on it. I don't think you can tell that from the MOT history though.

Have you not considered the flip side…Porsche ‘sellers’ are ‘incredibly vague’ in their ads and want it all compared to other brands. I think you’ll find it goes both ways and makes no difference what the brand is.

Yep we cant all like the same things, would be boring and too easy otherwise. what don't you like about it as i am aiming to see it and buy it this weekend.
The back bumper for start, and that centre exit exhaust vomit I've got a standard bumper to replace it with (but it's got some filler in it, so I'm pretty sure you'd be averse to fitting it) hehe

Anyway, it doesn't matter what LoH, I or indeed anyone else thinks of it, get it bought and enjoy it Julian !!
Did you go see the centre exit CSR?

Please can I ask what tyre width and pressures those of you running 18's go with?

Am on 275/35 rear and 225/40 fronts.

I think 28 front and about 32 should he fine. Some people go a bit higher on the back.

Could be a good car. He has another CSR which is a good sign.

It has since sold, but I am not losing sleep over it....I was probably being crazy having a 996 and my R. If my psyche and mojo was truly up for it I'd have arranged to go see it in the past few days. I was sold, then I wasn't sold (on the custom side sills, that really bothered me) and now its sold..... probably a blessing in disguise, as to quote myself, was probably a money pit wink

I think it's worth trying a 996 if you can. Don't go mad and buy a cheaper example. One you can just drive and enjoy. Then you can sell it on easily enough without losing your shirt. That's the dream anyway.

I think the seller works at RPM. He's one of the business bods ie finance manager or sales manager. So wasn't just any old owner.

So now the Silver one is the best one for sale

Your car sounds great, much what I plan including some Carbone seat inserts and gearstick. Do you have any photos? Would love to see them. I do think you underestimate your abilities though, I fear I will be paying someone to do the majority of the work.
Still some small things to do both outside and inside. Apologies for the crap exterior photo, I'm not really one for taking photos of my cars.

Looks fantastic. That side skirt sill I really like, whereas the CSR had a swirly side skirt which, not being clued up on 996's, maybe that is a stock look too, but prefer your sides.

The impression I got from the text in the advert, was that it was formerly Darren Anderson's car. Though I may be wrong.

I took this picture of what I assume is the same car 3 years ago (minus the ghastly rear bumper/centre exhaust) and in this guise, it's a mighty fine looking car that really caught my eye, which is why I took the photo ... :

The swirly (great description BTW Julian) sill extensions are the factory aerokit/Mk1 996 GT3 items
I did wonder what you were on about when you said the car had some aftermarket sills fitted, which were of concern to you. Now it all makes sense, and rest assured, you need have no more sleepless nights about aerokit sills smile

Edit to add, here's my old car with the worrisome "swirly sills" :

As i understand it one can take a 996 car to become a CSR at anytime, rather than wait for RPM/CSR to produce it of their accord. Therefore it would be a much nicer experience to buy a 996 and then go through ones own CSR personalised experience.
