Nice apart from the box. I know this is a controversial opinion but I think those seats are plain ugly.

Unfortunately my own 996 is currently listed but I'm still clinging to the hope that I might be able to hang on to it.

I would imagine they are replicas… otherwise it would be worth buying the car just to get them.
Any ideas how to identify if they are genuine?

I’m pretty certain all original examples had embossed Porsche crests when spec’d in leather-even if not all had Recaro homologation decals on the bottom.

Sorry to hear about your change of circumstance Mark,I hope things turn-a-corner in the future, plenty more 911's about should you be able to return in the future.

I'm seeing 'Listing ended by seller'. Other than the shortened rear plate, I thought all tweaks worked quite well and as he said - he's put his own stamp on it.

"Fuel crisis"? Excellent, that's opportunity for a drive!

I chalked up +100 miles early this morning running laps of Woodhead Pass, Snakepass Pass & the scary A6024, barely any other traffic - other than those I passed queuing at petrol-stations on my return at 08:00!

My only crisis is being short of time, could easily have spent the day burning gasoline. silly

The shell on all of the 996 originals I've seen is plain gloss black (mine are) but I don't know if carbon was an option, someone like Henry will have the knowledge.

Thanks guys. It's gone to a chap who's previously had some nice 911's and is I believe, friends with someone on this thread? He wants a car he can use and not be too precious about so I'm sure it'll be enjoyed. Meanwhile, I hope that I might have something left for a cheaper car I can still enjoy even if it isn't a 996.

The blue one?

The big problem with that car is the beige seats which I quite like but most refer to it as baby pewk.
I love the brown to be honest - weirdo I know!

ATM - I believe I spotted you out for a splash this afternoon in one of your many Porks - passing through Flixton.
The mucky silver and porno interior looked a treat, very nice. I didn’t make eye contact.

Yeah I was out for a bit and did try to get some petrol today but was not lucky enough. I didn't notice any other pork so I'll assume you were driving something else.

Yet another one with door speakers, did they only come with the CD autochanger?

No - mine had the changer but no door speaker.

Thanks, just found the wires tucked away. Looks like someone else had the same idea.

I got mine out for a brief run this afternoon between the showers, and managed to get fuel bounce
