Leaving aside the potential different track/tyre conditions, it's a different driver setting the times so the comparison is even more of a moot one than these usually are. Meaden I'm reliably told is definitely the quicker driver compared to Bovingdon who set the RS time.
Wouldn't it be interesting to see who's actually the fastest of all the journo's. Harris is the one that's raced at a decent level so you'd think he might be up there ?Taffy66 said:

I would put my money on Steve Sutcliffe personally who is proven to be extremely quick in racing cars..Cheib said:

A lot of them do I believe, bovingdon/meaden/harris all have taken part in the N24 amongst other things and I've been told Harris has done some form of racing in a GT3 race car where he was pretty quick. The timed laps like these are entertaining enough for discussion but tbh i'd like to see a series of laps from the driver doing the timing to see how consistent he's able to lap a car (any car) first.isaldiri said:

I am sure they do many laps and pick the fastest, it's not really a one off flying lap. Bovingdon can pedal a car as fast as most imo.Cheib said:

He'll be able to go out to some nice restaurants, pay down the mortgage a bit quicker and treat the wife to something nice a bit more often, but he seems like a pretty normal guy and I doubt he's spunking it on private islands or whatever.

That is true if any of these people could drive that well (Pro level) they would be paid to drive and not review ;-)
I am sure there is a lot more money in driving if you are fast than jurno work.
you really have to be an exceptional driver to make money from motorsport, most people who compete in series do it for vanity and spend an absolute st load of money to do soI am sure there is a lot more money in driving if you are fast than jurno work.

but they prob lap faster than a run of the mill Jurno setting a lap time. The comments came from who is the best driver, where I would say take a top current GT car driver and they would post a faster time than all of the 3 jurno's listed on the last page.Porsche911R said:
Would be interesting to see a .2 turbo S time (with optional MSPC2 tyres fitted and not the stock Pirrelis the .1 was on).Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
