Quick review of this touring helmet.

Prior riding always saw me purchase Arai/ Shoei. Well, recent return to 2 wheels made me realise how all bike kit has really moved on in the last 2/3 years!

Research, courtesy of the net, kept pointing towards how far the perceived budget manufacturers had upped their game. In all honesty, 3 years ago I would never have considered the likes of HJC, X-lite, etc classing them as inferior to the big two. How wrong and ill-informed I have been!

I needed a touring helmet. Started off at Arai/Shoei; naturally swallowed at the prices they asked before initially coming across a site called:

https://billyscrashhelmets.co.uk

I then cross referenced info on there with other sites finally coming across this review:

The last review sealed the want wants for me.

So, I took the plunge and purchased one. Being old, not very bold, and banned from any loud colours by my teen children, I played uber boring purchasing a gloss black helmet for the princely sum of £180.

It arrived last week and all I can say is what a total and utter bargain of a helmet. The sizes are true and at least for me, incredibly comfortable. They are set up for comms and, the best part, changing the visor is a doddle. I used to cringe every time I changed my Arai visor.

So, given the price vs quality/safety of the product, they are well worth a look. Well done HJC.
