Classic Porsche Servicing
Discussion
Who is better to service a classic 911? a Porsche main dealer or a Porsche specialist? There are a couple of good ones near me I believe, Design 911 etc. Just wondering what people would do, not worried about how different servicing would affect the value of the car, just want the best for the car service for the car.
IMO Colchester are a solid OPC and have used them for parts. Unsure how much classic stuff they deal with or service.
I've used Autostrasse in Coggeshall for many years, there are others around Colchester too who service lots of classic Porsche.
Might be worth having a call around & having a chat, get a feel for their experience and pricing.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've been leaning away from Porsche Colchester just from speaking to their sales staff on occasion but it might be worth asking how much they deal in that sort of stuff, their servicing staff might be better.
Their service staff are way better now. Gary Sorrell has worked wonders. Having said that, pretty much all the names on this thread have a good reputation. I used Martin Harvey when I ran my pre Impact, Autostrasse in the days when I ran my impact bumper cars, Lancaster when I ran my 964 RS and DSD when I ran my 996. Each is only as good as the person who runs it though.rubystone said:

Thanks, definitely helps to know what other's experiences of all of them are. Gassing Station | Porsche Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
