So at about 12 years old I wondered weather my gearbox oil had ever been changed, no particular issue but a little iffy occasionally to get into 1st, but about 1 in 20 times. Oh well I though I would put some millers in there as well as the engine.

Followed the guide and when I came to clean out the sump plug (gearbox) it had a few small bits of metal in there ..... how normal is this see pictures.... will take it for a run tomorrow to see how nice the gearbox is...

Gears and most roller bearing shells are steel coloured, but bits of bearing shells are bronze/gold sort of colour, as are the synchro rings. Here are some bits I wore out earlier:
