Heard of the DS1.11. Where do you buy them in the UK?
Not tried them myself, but seem to be getting a bigger track following atm.was interested to see why you quoted the best set up that's all ;-)
Endless still seem top dog but double the price of any other pad.
I tend to stick to RS29 after trying a lot of pads, I know where I am with RS29's but am very temped with the DS1.11 as it seems the track pad of choice atm.

Are the std brakes not up to the job?

I get that Steve, but Design911 do OEM or equivalents for £400-700 for a pair... Can't see Brembos being that much better!
Does the RS have the same brakes as the vanilla GT3? If so, FVD.de do front discs for around £300 for a pair (plus shipping)... mm450exc said:
380 front and 360 rear.
PFC08 are fantastic! Bit hard on the discs but you need brakes on track.
Did have the same set up and agree that the PF pads 08s work well and wear even which the R29 pad doesn't and IMO give a better bite at the start of the braking zone.PFC08 are fantastic! Bit hard on the discs but you need brakes on track.
Had a bad experience at the RS Oulton day this year with this set up, brake fail. Turns out that the rear pad material cracked up and fell off the backing plate while on track which ended up with metal on metal and the brake fluid boiling and no brakes. So not running PF pads any more. IF you up the size of the front and rear discs on a 997.1 look at putting extra brake ducts in at the rear. I've added RS ducts to the rear disc and now running endless rear pads. Brakes working well again but believe this is the extra cooling and not the endless pads.
Cunno - Had a guy with a 997.1 GT3 ask me what setup I'm running at SPA. He said that his rear PFC08 pads were crumbling.
Very odd indeed. I do have front and rear cooling ducts on the 997.2 GT3. I still rotate the front pads every 2-3 track days - lower end will be down by about 1mm. Might test Race technologies re10 or Ferodo DS1.11 when I need new front Alcons.
