Ive been watching the 991 gen 1 rs prices for some time, a lot seem to have sold in the last few days, I thought we may see more with the 992 gt3 out, but it seems to have gone the other way and all the RS cars have vanished from the classifieds last 7 days.
Seems most Porsche cars are being swept up or lavished on and no longer for sale or selling for strong numbers. Question is will it last once holidays are more back in play and this microchip issue is finally resolved?
Went through a host of cars looking for a decent one that I’d enjoy each summer without paying silly numbers and ended up buying a C4S Cab so slightly out of left field for me but I love it .
Great sound with the roof off and even in convertible form it handles extremely well for my blasts out and needs.
Obviously not a track car but then my track driving days are over .
Good looking car for sensible money with an engine rebuild and 31k miles from new wasn’t to be missed.
Can’t see me now buying an RS as too hard for my use at the age of 53
That said they are truly amazing cars

Stumbled across this old thread..
Wondered what the thinking going forward on values is now......
10k mile UV with PCCB went through collecting cars at 127k...so 133k with commission .
Personally i thought that was cheap but maybe it wasnt.....
That car, if tidy, would now I reckon, be knocking on the door of £150k !Wondered what the thinking going forward on values is now......

There's a similar car currently for sale at Alexanders.

I’m thirteen years your senior and. I don’t think my RS days are numbered yet !
I do use it a lot, except for this past COVID year.
Same here 20yrs senior nowt but a young whippet GT2 and TVR regular drives Summer and Winter when i cant get in car Ill sell hang up me driving shoes I do use it a lot, except for this past COVID year.
If I may jump in I have been following the GT3 prices thread and working my man maths to go for a gen 2 rather than a gen 1 ... wifey thing wants a new kitchen but its only 11 years old, the grill usually works I’ really not sure what the problem is, anyway back to real issues a club sport gen 2 is 140 plus and alexanders have a gen 1 RS for the 150k mark surely that’s a better value car than a gen 2 admittedly It hinges on spec and what its going to be used for and in my case not a daily, drives out, some track days, a trip abroad although also to consider there is a certain look a RS projects that a std GT3 doesn’t ..... or maybe I should really wait for winter, furlough ending, more 992 gt3’s to be released, the world recovering from Covid, Brexit and Dairylea triangles to be in stock in the corner shop to drive the used market down but that may take a while or possibly the new 992 RS to fuel the downward spiral of used prices ( not hopeful more wishful ) just seems a lot more car than a gen 2 for similar money and a bit more of a raw drivers car (not that i drive that well of course)
IMO. The RS is always the better long term proposition of any model variant.
And if the choice is 991
Gen 1 RS beats a Gen 2 GT3
Unless its comfort seats you need to actually drive it everyday!
And I do believe now is a good time to buy a Gen1 GT3RS
I don't think they will ever be as low as this winters coming prices......
