Is it not me or has the 996 gt3 prices had another increase? There are a few cars hitting £90k and one or two low mileage cars selling at £100k!

Granted they are clubsport models but hand on heart I would prefer a car with bucket seats and without a roll cage.
There is a difference between what some dealers will put them up at in an attempt to push the market and what someone will pay. I have been watching the 996/7 gt3 market for a few weeks and one thing that stands out to me is hardly any cars are selling which, bearing in mind it is mid-summer (supposedly), tells me the asking prices are just too rich.

You could be right. I recently bought a gt3 and on average prices would be reduced by around £3k. JZM sold a guards red low mileage car for £100k and it was only for sale for a couple of weeks. I see that Porsche Exceter has a car advertised at £91k.

Me too. Well, actually 997 GT3 has been a saved search for about a year now. getmecoat

I'd agree not too much is shifting and some prices are dropping. There are some nice cars out there but I'm erring to the side of extreme caution. There's a compression between 997.2 and 991.1 GT3 models which, if more of either come onto the market from owners lucky enough to have 991.2 GT3 or GT2 builds, might cause a shift over winter.

On a brighter note, I'm taking the whole GT3 stalking thing up a notch and have booked the PEC GT experience, just to further muddy the waters....

It's a shame that more people don't sell their cars privately themselves as I have seen a difference of up to £10K between what dealers selling on SOR ask and what the owner of the car is wanting to achieve. I can understand the reasons though.... part-ex, finance, warranty etc. so not having a go at people looking to run a business and make a profit.

I sold mine privately a month or so ago. I may be wrong but i don't think there are many buyers who would purchase one privately. You probably need to be a previous owner coming back to a 6GT3 or a very confident Porsche GT car buyer adding another to the stable.

Miss it terribly already but the racing bug bites hard

I understand the finance companies are a bit reluctant to give finance on a private sales. is this true?
I had my 997.1 GT3 for sale a couple of weeks ago and I wondered if it would affect the buyers

speed yellow was the launch colour and well sought after as not many made

that mileage and condition on an 06 plate would be £80k-£85k easily in private.

Most "collectibles" are over 10 years old and many are financed ??
