Did you get one? I had a glimmer of hope from an OPC but they're now ignoring me so it's not looking good.

Was that your 997 for sale?

Did I bks - apologies for rattyness above I'm reading too many 991GT2RS threads.

I had a new 991 Turbo S and thought I'd better ditch one of my other Pork but the 991 is just too civilised for me so it is now for sale and the 997 is staying....... you never know with the RS, in the next 12 months the economy could turn, interest rates up and many of the people who think they want one may realise that if there is depreciation involved and their minds may change.

Someone mentioned on here they have been offered above list for their turbo s recently by supplying dealer. Are the OPC okay with you selling the turbo s so quick after delivery? Which OPC are you dealing with?

Was called by OPC yesterday to let me know they are only getting one car and sadly its going to someone else. Thats the bad news. Good news is I'm still on touch wood for second batch of GT3s Q1 smile

Yes, you got me, I am a flipper rofl

The OPC are selling it for me after my extended test drive and there will be depreciation, I'm sure the OPC will be fine with two bites of margin..... someone else will get an as new car without the 6-8 month wait.

Ha didn't mean it like that. It's a disgrace as a 7 GT2 owner you're not getting a new one. I'd write to Porsche GB and complain. There were only a handful of 7 GT2s and GT2 RS sold and those previous owners should get first dibs.

If the are anything like the GT3 rs then 918 customers get first refusals and everyone else waits in line!

If I were offered a RHD GT2 RS from an OPC in the continent, at list, should I go for it?
(this would be for flipping purposes only...)

Only 1 per dealer , if that

So unless you are the centres' VERY BEST customer forget it
The person I know who has a confirmed order doesn't have a 918 and isn't their best customer.
He is a serial GT owner and uses the cars noting interest years ago in the GT2 RS so that seems a reasonable allocation to me.

If anyone's seriously interested in a GT2 RS and has a substantial % of the RRP to put down in cash, refundable of course, please PM me.
I may have access to a slot but it needs securing quickly.

I think it's less than 1 per dealer, my friend works for an OPC and he said they were lucky to get one car
Definitely more than 1 per OPC. Prob closer to 3 on average.
Sticking to this prediction...

If you don't already have an allocation you're not getting one. There are two parked at Porsche Silverstone at the moment.

Wow, that's a pretty dogmatic first post...... what about the second production tranche next year or do you know that that will not happen ?

Porsche have a window for production before new emissions rules mean they can't use the current engines (RIP amazing 4.0 frown) which are going in the GT3 and the GT2RS and very likely the a GT3RS, the full run of all those cars has to be built by late 2018 / early 2019 depending on who you talk to.

So if you don't have an allocation there's no time between now and the end of production to build you one.

All change for 2019 with the 992 and new engines to meet new emissions standards. I wanted a GT3 Touring, I asked, I'm 'on the list' but unless a whole lot of perspective buyers cancel their orders or die in mysterious circumstances... I'm not getting one.
