I understand the 10 year service on the Vantage includes a number of 'extras'..... I'm also in two minds where to take the car to get this service done... Can anyone give me an idea of cost for this (excluding non service items that may arise..)... Current thinking is Aston works or BR.... Away at the mo but will phone round when home, in the meantime any info/advice/suggestions most welcome...

TIA, Chilli..

It'll cost you many thousands if you have the airbag changed but most people don't bother with that. Airbags have had an arbitrary life of 10 years placed on them but there's no proof that they are not fully effective for many more years.
The 10 year service shouldn't be too expensive as long as the car hasn't done mega mileage.
I've had a very reasonable service quote from my local AM dealer.

Page 65, issue 18 of Vantage magazine has a service offer you might be interested in. Bristol also offer to collect and deliver your car by transporter. Well at least the first time you use them! (I've not had my car serviced by Bristol so I can't vouch for them.)

That said, my local main dealer matched the prices Bristol quoted and that was less than prices quoted by independents as well. So this offer may help you secure a better price from wherever!

Hope that helps.

Yes but on a 10 year old car they're always going to find some "extras" and that's where the significant differences in labour costs (between Indies and main dealers) will start to show themselves in the final bill.

My service in May at 43,000km (10 years and a couple of months) was just the normal items - I supplied oils, filters etc - cost about GBP600 including labour to replace all brake pads (also supplied by me)

Ask AM Works for their fixed price servicing cost. Now available on all Gaydon cars

True. The costs for doing that extra work will be significantly higher at AMWorks.

I would probably take the car away and fix those separately not at AMWorks (though given my other thread, I've not been so successful at DIY wink ) Though I would use an indy.
