Hi Phil, I have a sharkwerks fitted to my 991 GT3, It sounds 'okay' better than standard, nothing to write home about though.

Thanks for the info... do you feel the difference it makes is worth the best part of £1700 fitted? i know the car sounds great at high revs but bit lame at normal speeds.. did the bypass improve this? also give a better sound on down shifts?

Added one on mine as I thought the OEM sound was crap - the Sharkwerks sorted it - sounded great IMHO and is switchable which is nice. Speak to Chris at APB Motorsport smile

i feel the car needs more drama in the low rev range also when down shifting, did this improve after the sharkwerks install?

Can't remember on the downshift - I just felt it made it sound / feel like it should - it was the only dissapointing thing about the 991.1 GT3 - otherwise I loved it smile

Had sharkwerks on mine, but for maximum effect you need to also undo the valves that close the exhaust below certain revs. You then get an exhaust that sounds great at lower revs and higher revs. Also makes the button redundant though as it effectively puts exhaust in "loud" setting all the time. But in reality it isn't crazy loud anyway, just right for the car. Should have sounded like that from the factory.

I picked mine up second hand for £700, I wouldn't pay anymore than that for one for sure.

Actually you can have my one for £700 as I'm selling the car!

I'd definitely consider taking it off your hands for £500. Any up to date pics of it?

I agree the standard GT3 exhaust sounds disappointing at low revs and would love a Sharkwerks. However Porsche said it would invalidate the warranty. And with these engines being a little brittle thought better of it...

I'm pretty confident I don't have a brittle engine in my car. It's been tracked enough that it would have let go by now if it was that fragile. Not saying it is 100% bullet proof, but is any engine totally guaranteed to never fail?

I thought that, but apparently this may not be the case. The guys on Rennlist formed another action group and met with Porsche last week to discuss. There is going to be an announcement later today on what Porsche have offered to do:
